Hector (BattleMech)

HOR-1C - A variant introduced to fix the "exploding legs" problem, the 1C replaced the machine guns and their ammo with two small lasers. It also added another heat sink, making for a more durable 'Mech overall. BV (2.0) = 993. [5]

Marik you say?

That should be all of them. I think.....

Nope a lot of Cross Nation Modells are Missing

Warhammer
Marauder
Thunderbolt
Phoenixhawk
Hunchback
Wasp
Battlemaster
Griffin
etc.

The list seems far to short so i started to look up Mechs and Manufactures, several BIG Mechproducing Planets are spared out in the List, like Keystone, because Earthwerks is a Multinational Producer... And as the Marik Scumm sells his Mechs to everybody who have the Money, they even sell Factories in other Nations... so a lot of Mechs are not in the List.

And now we know the real Reason why our trusty Engineers on Hesperus II changed the Rescue System on the Hatchetman.

I truly hope the Warhammer gets made. To me, and I believe some will agree, it really is an iconic mech design.

I always increased the armor on mine through some fashion, if possible. It is a great direct-fire support mech.

I love this Marik variant:

SHD-5M - Shadow Hawk - 55 tons
Endo Steel
XL Engine
Double heat sinks
10.5 Tons Armor
CASE
Ultra Autocannon/5
LRM-20 launcher
Streak SRM-2
Medium Laser.
150 meter Jump jets

Imho one of the best mediums is a Marik variant of the Wolverine (when we talk about level 1 mechs):

The Wolverine WVR-6M:

replacing the AC/5 for LL, adding another ML and 2 sinks et voila:

A maneuverable mech with very thick armor for its weight and excellent medium range firepower. Also something for longer fights because of its few ammo consuming weapons!

What a perfect concept! Working horse...

There are sooooo many mechs that can be made better by dropping AC/5s for large lasers. (at lvl 1 rules)

That is the BEST lvl 1 canon Wolverine variant.

So the only Marik mechs "in game" currently are the Raven, Trebuchet and Cicada. None of which I want to pilot. Bleh.

Check out the various lists posted in the thread. There are far more than the 3 you have listed. The Awesome is one of the signature mechs of the FWL as is the Stalker. Add to that the variants of the Centurion ,T- Bucket, and Hunchback, and you have a great chioce of rides not counting those that are common to every house.

I'm personally a little indifferent to the Awesome. But the Stalker and Centurion are ones I have my eyes on.

By 3060 the Marik produced mech types nearly double. Seabears list includes Marik modiffied mechs, and Marik home made mechs.

Because of the allience between Kurita, and Marik the Free worlds league has access to many jenners, and panthers. Sadly mariks light mechs are all except for the spider, and hermes, and urbie all 20 tons. Besides the Jenner and the pather are the overall best light mechs with old tech.
