for MWO mechs the Awesome, Stalker and Cicada are all listed above.

With a big chunk of mechs being instantly removed (later to be reinstated) the game devs had to rework everything, and, with all that reworking things got pretty confused.
There is one point i'd like to throw out though.
The FWL economy in 3049 is arguably the strongest (per capita) of the innersphere. The steiners are burdened with trying to help out their new allies the davions who are, at this point, just recovering from a recession caused by the appropriation of all the merchant jumpships needed for the 4SSW.
The FWL has always been an economic powerhouse. It's real problem was that it was less directed than the Steiners. I'm not talking about skill here, but politics. The FWL places more power in the lower level of governments (Think state's rights vs federal rights if your from USA.) which don't seem to be willing to place as much emphasis on war production as the great houses.

Well, they'll propsper even more when Clans hit. Everything will get better and better for them until the Jihad. From then on...

Isn't Hatchetman a Davion/Steiner mech? Pretty sure it's from AFFC.
Posted 17 June 2012 - 06:31 AM
The Hatchetman is no Marik Design. Its a Davion design and later FEDCOM.
Despite the messup with the Robotech designs, my favorite Marik heavy mech is the Warhammer-M. I fondly remember the faces of more then one light mech opponent, who tried to close in to undercut the PPCs only to be burned by a heavy laser.

The reason for that is obvious, the FWL puts all their PPCs on Awesomes

Raven - Liao exclusively!!! produced by Hellespont
Hatchetman - Steiner design, produced by Defiance on Hesperus II
Almost all M-variants you know are Marik specific redesigns.
Ostsol and Ostscout are typical FWL mechs, too.
Don't forget the Goliath and the Hermes. Apollo is a cool medium supporter!
Not to forget Hammer, Tempest and Guillotine. There is also a new and very heavy design, the Hercules.
There are many more...

Don't worry, it's definitely not an Unseen. And yeah, most Thugs are built in the FWL side of Earthwerks Incorporated (who have the awkward luck, post-Star League, to have operations split mostly between both the FWL and the CapCon), ever since Maltex Corporation lost is major production facilities and had to license its designs (including the Thug) out to other manufacturers to survive.

I personally don't see a problem. The Capellans and Free Worlds trade a lot. Also, the only other heavy missile boats of the era that come to mind are the Crusader and Archer. You could use a Trebuchet if there are role playing issues with a Catapult.
Also, the Albatross 3U debuted in 3053. If they stick to their timeline we'll see it in a few years. I know I'll keep playing that long if just to get that 'Mech.
