How do I feel about it? I am man enough to comfortably wear any color and look good in it.

Guess there's a little too much testosterone in these red blooded veins. I don't play for that team.....
....not that there's anything wrong with that team.

1. People seem to not understand that even if the Houses color of choice is purple or blue, it does by no means have to be the parade color of all the houses units!
2. Even if most artists picture mechs in their shiny parade sceme a lot of mech units prefer apropiate camouflage in the field, and only use the parade scemes for what they are good for - parades!
So fellow Marikians, wear your purple color with proud, but do not go overboard with it and do not force it on others that by canon or free will go with other colors.

But as camouflage on 10m tall robots whose every step makes the ground shake is of rather questionable use, I fully endorse that units drop in their parade colours.
It is a question of identity, not camouflage.
@Ryoken
I have yet to meet one member of House Marik forcing others to wear a specific paint scheme. This is not how we do things.

I understand this, though lore-wise, the 1st Militia used Purple base, with Red+Blue highlighting. Even if it stuck out.
While Regulans and Hussars were more commonly camo'd up. Some Militia also had the Blue-white scheme. (I noticed most Militia units in the FWL was weird color combinations.)
Though I don't think anyone is forcing these colors on anyone. I'm certainly not sneaking into anyone's mech-bay's and repainting everything purple.
I'm hoping they add decals in at some point, so I can camo-color my Ravens and still have the 1st' sigilry on my bird.

So according to that statement tell all the ground fighting tank/helicopter squadrons of the world that their green/brown paint sceme is useless as their engines/turbines are to loud allready. Camouflage is always usefull and you will not find a military that does not use it therefore. Still and I do not argue with that, in the Battletech lore some units go to battle in parade colors, so both selections are viable.

To paraphrase an old saying, “While many fled in fear, I saw a simple soldier stand alone against the enemy to defend a wounded brother.”
This is a soldier worthy of purple.

Regulans and Atreans are only loosely alligned with House Marik anyway and break away in the near future (well the Atreans are brought back by force).

We are playing a game with made up stompy robots.... doesn't matter what is in real life.
Purple is fun, shows solidarity to the house when players choose to use it.
I have some purple mechs, others with grey etc.
Until we can pick which map and change our camo there isn't a real good camo that covers everything. White is fine for frozen city but stands out on terra therma.. etc, etc.
