when they say coming summer 2012, is that the date the plan to start the beta or the date they plan for the open fully featured release?

Generally the release announcement is for launch, not beta testing.

The picture did say "Launching". I would be more inclined to say that means the release of the game and not the beginning of a beta.

Great idea! Sometimes it pays to be the boss, I will be on non-stop till I pass out once it goes live. Wife be damned, she already knows and understands my addiction to this game line.

She can accept it, or get a new husband.

I actually used two personal days to create a 4-day weekend back when the MPBT:3025 open beta started. I locked my door and told my girlfriend she wasn't going to see me for a while, since it was a game I'd been waiting about 4 years for.

I have a feeling I'm going to need A LOT more time off when MWO comes out.
