Mydron Weapon Systems is a celebrated designer of autocannons and other heavy-caliber artillery. It would later license its designs to production facilities in both the Capellan Confederation on Bithinia (to Bithinian Ballistics) and the Federated Suns on Gulkana (to Yeffters Weapons Factory). It is partially responsible for the return of the LB 10-X Autocannon to mass production in the years following the discovery of the Helm Memory Core.

Not to worry, in 3048 Sterope Defense Industries remains the exclusive manufacturer of the Pontiac series of autocannons that Justin Xiang-Allard made famous on Solaris VII in 3027.
(You can find it still being manufactured in the 3054-dated Objective Raids.)

I'm a fan of these new GM weapons. Beware of the customer service though. I was promised a free year of Onstar on my last medium laser/ SRM bundle purchase but I had to fill out one of those rebate coupons and mail it to get my rebate. Really? Mail it? Cmon man, its 3048 who makes people mail stuff anymore? Anyway, I never did see my rebate. But the lasers are great.
