It all started way back when I was a young 'un, unsure of what to call myself, changing my name every other week. Well, that is, until I found out I could play Halo: Combat Evolved on my 28.8kbps dial-up connection. There, I discovered my talent with frag grenades. The lag made it dificult to score well with any other weapons, but once the 'nades started flying, so did my enemies. When I impressed a clan recruiter, I realised I needed a permanent name. One that would be instantly recognizeable. After much delibation, I grudginly settled on NoobFragger, being the best I could come up with, but it was lacking something special. I forget the exact details, but I eventually found what was missing, hence the birth of Dr.NoobFragger. It was great, people took notice of it. Then, my modem died. My parents, being fairly technologically illiterate, bough a cheap replacement one that hit grand speeds such as 15.6kbps, and me at the time being quite young and not much better off at the time, was unable to figure out why. Enter the 3 year hiatus of all non-browser-based games for online play.
At the end of this period, I had gained a plethora knowledge about the world of computers and was able to aid my parents in upgrading once again to a modem that reached 32.2kbps speeds (we lived in an internet black hole so there was no other option than dial-up). I fire up the old Halo for old times sake. It was about as fun as I remember, but none of my friends played it anymore and the active player base had dropped significantly, so I hopped over to Modern Warfare. First server I join, I get banned because of "Offensive name" or something along those lines. Same with the seconnd server. I checked my name to make sure it was Dr.NoobFragger, and not something rediculous my brother might have changed it to. Nope, still my same old name. Had a few successful servers after that, but then the last one I had someone spewing relentless hate towards me as soon as I logged in without reason. I decided to shelf CoD4 and pop back in Halo, since people there were actually nice. Back to Halo. And discovered Tremulous.
Another year or two pass, and my family gets this "unlimited" broadband access Verizon card. True high speed internet! ("Unlimited" was a flat-out lie, but that's another story) The difference was unbelievable! When one of my friends heard about this, he decided to try to get me into his CoD4 clan. I figured, why not. Surely the problems that plagued me have long passed. The first people I met were kind enough to show me the ropes and introduce me to the clan structure. However, when I joined their TeamSpeak server, one of the admins kicked me without reason. My friend and the recruiter both worked to whitelist me and we tried again. Again, the admin banned me, but this time, my friend managed to get the reason why out of him. Turns out in my absence from the internet, someone else had adopted my beloved name, joined the clan, and tarnished my name beyond repair by being a dick to others every game, used a plethora of cheats like wallhacks and aimbots, and when eventually kicked from the clan, he did something like hack their main site and made a real mess of things (little hazy on the details). I realized I had to finally retire my identity start anew.
I was at a loss. For years I was Dr.NoobFragger, or the Dr. among my gaming friends. How could I come up with something to replace who I was? After my period of greivance, I settled on using my unofficial school nickname of The Celtic God of Procrastination. Named so because all throughout school I would put off work untill the last minute, or in several cases, last second (See senior thesis paper [researched in two days, written, edited, proofread, and retyped in 1, ending the morning of the deadline]), and 99.9% of the time I would score an A- or better. My amazing abillity to procrastinate and pull through was revered by a lot of my classmates, not so much the teachers though. The Celtic tag, I'm not sure why, since I have very strong Norse heritage, and it shows. So there you have it, I was to be known as The Celtic God of Procrastination across the virtual lands. Or, I was supposed to until I encountered the dire evil force known as character limits. So I was only TCGoP in a few realms since I refused to use the abbreviation, and a random name, usually derived from something I saw nearby at the time of generation.
It was this habit that lead me to the fridge and the tub contained therein of Cool-Whip, and my short and sweet affair with Cool-Whipped. Just something about that name spoke to me and refused to leave. I even adopted a more laid-back, joking persona than before to accompany it. At this time, I had decided I was done with CoD4, and hopped back into Tremulous with a passion. Eventually, I started to delve into some of the simpler free-to-play MMO's of the time, using the same name. I will never forget the end of Cool-Whipped, nor the heart-ache that followed. It was one of these F2P MMO's I had logged into, and an admin sends me a PM to change my name right after Character Generaion. I ask why, and he said it violates their naming policy. I was clueless. He said it can be construed as pornographic. I asked how, and he said "Think about it." I made the mistake and did. I could never look at that name the same way again. Cool-Whipped and I parted ways, only for my brother to adopt it. They're still doing well.
Well, once again I was left without a name, trying to make it in online gaming. And still grieving the loss of the last one. I stuck mostly to Team Fortress 2 since Steam is kind enough to let me use TCGoP still. It was in this dark time when a light shone through. A bright beacon of hope. And the source of this glorious glow, you may ask? Well, it was Fryulator. Origions: unknown, but I don't question it. I had a name again, and it fit. It fit even better than CGoP and Dr.NoobFragger. In fact, it fits almost as well as my irl name, and most of my friends know me simply as "Fry".
So, there you have it, the epic tale of how Fryulator came into existance about 4 years ago. Hope you enjoyed it

I really do act and subscribe with this name.
Phelan Kell and Victor Davion were the heroes of my youth...
Adam was initially just a connector that I felt sounds good but it also still means "root" or "beginning".

It is derived from "lurking in shadows" style game play (sniper, thief, etc), and the fact I graduated from the University of Florida, aka Gators.
