Simple question

Does B.A.P and the bonus sensor range module stack

According to in game tips BAP increases sensor range by 25%, According to the pilot lab talent; Increased sensor range module increases the range by 25%

So am I getting a 50% bonus to sensor range if I use Beagle Active Probe and the sensor range module AT THE SAME TIME?

Appreciate any responses!!

800m - standard radar range
1000m - radar range with BAP OR adv. sensor range module
1200m - radar range with BAP AND adv. sensor range module

I'd actually been wondering the same thing myself. Now I know the answer. :P

I am thinking neither BAP or the Increased Sensor module actually work. I just installed both on my Spider, am in a testing map, and standing exactly 800m from a dummy target. I have him on sensors, but if i move back to 801m i loose him.

Testing grounds does not work right with modules and some equipment.

Also, if they both raised sensor range by 25%, we'd have a range of 1250 with both together. I'm not sure which it is

I do know for a fact that with both on in my spider, I can spot the enemy team at their start location on River City with is over 1000m, so they definitely do stack.

My understanding is they stack (i saw it in a thread). Plus when I run both I have to make sure the targets in range of the LRMs. I get early detection and want to let the LRMs fly but the targets at 1000+ meters. I like to run the BAP + range + target decay on my LRM mechs.

I run that combo and it does work at 1200.

Well neither of them works at all on a SDR-5v. My sensor range is still only 800m.

Rj Bass,

It will be in a Test map. Is it still 800m or 1200(1250) in game?

I just played two games in Tera Therma thinking it might just be the Testing Grounds and still only 800m with both installed.

If they have ECM you're not going to see them until they're MUCH closer. But yes, Modules and Pilot Tree skills don't affect Testing Grounds. If it doesn't actually work in-game you need to submit a support ticket at: support@mwomercs.com

What about the first level (15%) sensor range and BAP? I'm trying to make a kickin' recon Jenner. Anybody test that out? It's a LONG way to advanced sensor range and I'd hate to have to wait to stack'em.

It's been indicated (though I can't recall where) that the sensor range module also extends the range of the Beagle's effects (not the sensor-extending effect, the other effects). Anyone care to test that as well?

Testing Grounds, ironically, do not reflect actual gameplay at all.

In regards to sensors I was wondering if there was any word of a module or unlock in pilot tree to increase sensor scan area (width not range). I've got c-er-ppc's mounted on a Timber Wolf with adv. zoom and adv. sensors so I can start picking off foes at 1200m, but the width of the scan area I think could be larger.

By the way to snipe at that distance requires minute adjustments and lots of precision so don't start thinking that the c-er-ppc's are overpowered. It is much easier to miss at that distance than it is to hit. Your target needs to be mostly stationary or predictable to be hit.
