Ever played a game where two players on opposite teams where their are no respawns just shooting at each other with b,b,guns for what seems hours? Well we have a easy and entertaining way to solve this delta, allow hot-drops in sudden death.

They already talked about dropship mode where you get basically 4 lives in a match.

... I think that the hot-drop has already been discussed, but as a mission objective, such as "capture your enemies drop ship that has landed" could be a neat idea.

The thing about dropships, is that they are usually armed to the teeth. Destroying one as an objective could be interesting.

well the thing is, right now, it seems like we are mostly going to be solaris style company on company, or lance on lance style action. Maybe later on, we could have different game types, like "dropship defense", where ones team's dropship crashed, and they have to defend it against the other team for x amount of time.

yea one big problem i have with MW3 and 4 is that they gave a totally wrong picture of dropships... normally any mechpilot, even a full lance, would do everything to avoid getting into range of an armed and ready dropship...

"Given its first strike role, the Avenger is impressively armed on all angles. In the nose weapons bay are two AC/5s, an AC/20, a LRM-20, and two large and two medium lasers. In each wing is a single PPC, a pair of AC/5's, an LRM-20 rack and two medium lasers. Face the rear is AC/2, an LRM-20 and two medium lasers. The Avenger's large ammo bays, especially for its LRM racks, allow it keep up steady rate of attack."

and that is one of the oldest IS Dropships... and i don´t think that it would just stand there unguarded...

another one?^^
The Overlord is one of the primary Mech transport DropShips in the Inner Sphere. Capable of carrying a full 'Mech battalion and a squadron of ASFs, as well as most of the technical support for both, the nearly-10,000 ton vessel has proven its worth as a dedicated combat transport. Usually kept out of combat to minimize the risk of loss of these expensive vessels, when grounded they often serve as dedicated command stations and resupply bases in longer campaigns. These highly valued ship started to become scarce in the later Succession Wars, but rediscovered technology and refits have continued to keep them in service.
Armament

The armament of the Overlord are impressive for a dedicated Mech transport, but pale in comparison to most Assault dropships and newer designs with better technology. Long range fire is covered by six PPCs, six Large Lasers and three LRM-20s. Close in firepower is mostly built around its two AC/20s, with support from six AC/5s and twelve Medium Lasers.

Well now imagine that PLUS the enemy players guarding it
