Does anyone know where I can go to get a copy of mechwarrior 4 vengeance I heard they put it up for free release? All the copys I've found so far have been virus's disguiesed as Mech mercaneries, Also curious if anyone got there beta key yet I'm still waiting for mine

I just downloaded the free release a couple of weeks ago from there and I had no problem (except that I also needed to apply an hotfix because some missions were bugged).

Thanks, Its pretty dumb. Cannot figure out why it times out, not like MW4 is important it is the starting point for microsofts r@pe of the franchise. But still want to have.

download the mtx program and from there u can get the mw4 syfle

no your not blind, its mech warrior 4:mercs thats avilable as free to play. i wish they did do vengence as my copys corupted, so cant install from the disk

Were can i get mtx? Does not seem to have a link on the site that i can find and a google search yeilds car stereos.

and just follow the instuctions for downloading, installing and updateing the game.
there is a hotfix you will need to install once the games installed, as it fixes a few game crashes during the campainge.

The only thing is that you have to create an account in order to read the instructions (its actually a user made set of directions in a forum post and the forum is disabled for non members).

My Vengeance disc is also corrupted sometimes MS released a patch that fixed it and then broke the game on some other level

Vengeance is more for the story and has a better (read: proper) difficulty increase compared to vengeange, where after a few missions your suddenly coming accros heavy and assault mechs (and are walking around in one or two)

You start out with a shadow cat if im not mistaken you really appreaciate light mechs when you only start out with them!

I'm enjoying playing mercs, but just anoyed that my copy of vengence is fubar (and i have the black knight expansion for it as well), i've even looked on amazon for a new copy, but on there its going for about £20, im not paying that for an old game.

Ah, I've had a prestine factory copy of MW4 Mercs since 2004. I make and use copies to preserve the factory discs.

Ok, all this has gotten me inspired to dig out the game discs...but now i can't remember what order they get installed in! I've got MW4: Vengeance, MW4: Black Knight expansion, MW4: Mercenaries and both Clan and Inner Sphere mech paks. I can only finds keys for the paks, too.

Look on there. Been playing mw4 mercs for a month now but I still can't connect to the servers. Single player is fine I guess.

MW4 Vengeance is hard to get working on windows 7, and impossible (with my efforts anyway) with the clan and IS mechpacks. MW4 black knight expansion has also been impossible to play in windows 7. Anyway, the mektek MW4 Mercs remake is the best of the bunch!

Hey, does anyone know how to find a copy of MW3 pirate moons expansion?
