I still play the tabletop game! The new Total Warfare rules have made the game better than ever, IMHO. I also play MegaMek and MW4:Mercenaries from time to time. Last but certainly not least, I am fortunate enough to be a closed-beta tester for MWTactics, which should bring a very close approximation of the boardgame to the PC via web browser.

All things Battletech... now when are we going to get a freakin BT movie from Hollywood?

http://www.pacificrimmovie.net/ - this comes very close! ;)

I have and still do with my friends almost every weekend, including Mechwarriors. That is why i wish this online game could be like the actual rule from battletech and mechwarrior instead being like World of tanks.

Battletech 3025 TR, Battletech 3rd ed. and Citytech were my humble beginnings...then came the books and when crashing at a friends place MW2....later MC1.

Honestly? Didn't like what came after MW2:Mercs and MC1 on the PC....this here is the first iteration since MW2 I truly enjoy...:

Still play when I can. My pops still has all the classic rules, stat sheets, and mech sheets from before the clans EVER took part in the game. Personally I would be choosing a customized LCT, JVN, JR7, or a FS9. (For the people that don't know these: Locust, Javelin, Jenner, Firestarter) Gotta love those lights.

Had all the original games, up to when Mechwarrior first came out.

Even after I stopped playing I kept buying the tech manuals just to read.

Played both BattleTech and MechWarrior tabletop games. 3025-3057 rules.

Topic needs a poll.

My brother, a friend, and I busted it out a couple months ago and now we play once a week. About 12-15 years ago we played daily.

I invested gobs of my hard earned allowance and oddjob money in Citytech, TRO's, sourcebooks, minis..... and only ever found one dude to play with me. (My older brother.. mostly because he felt sorry for me).

Then he like, moved off to work on oil rigs and ****.

My childhood is full of might've-been-but-weren't games of BTech :( . Ragged that poor TRO out tho

I did my be the beginner's box back in '89/90, and solo play a few matches to get an idea of how the rules worked in TT, other then that I had played Crescent Hawk and the Original MechWarrior computer game. Unfortunately that's about all the TT I've ever done as my group was more into D&D and TMNT/Robotech/Rifts (pretty much all things Palladium Games) at the time.

I started playing the TT game at school, in '86.
Kinda hard to find people to play with these days.

That is so true. Everyone in my generation doesn't even know what a role-playing game is.
