I've played it. It stopped a bullet once when I was carrying it around in my jacket. I even nibbled off a map corner once. It was ****ing delicious! :D

Yes, in 1985...when all the mech's were designed/based off the Super Dimensional Fortress & Macross mechs:

Which gained huge popularity in North America as ROBOTECH in the early 1980's

Played it a long time ago, back in the early 90's.

This, or perhaps '86. Saw the box randomly on a routine trip to the game shop. I think I may have invented the Instabuy that day. ;)

I play. There are a few game stores around the state that host leagues. I play at Saltire Games in Lawrence.

I've played BT, the pen and paper version if that is what you mean by board game. Started playing it within a year of it coming out, was a big time D&D player before then. I more than likely will be one of the oldest players in the game ...lol

I played Battle Tech in my youth, obsessed about the Tech Readouts more though. There was a time when I could rattle off stats for any mech an even some vehicles like a computer!

I played in the German Association called "Mechforce". Was a very good time, every Player just one Mech on the Table. Felt like real Teamsports with around 30 dice-swinging guys around the Table, beer and a lot of stupid combat talking and jokes :)

The first box set of BTech me and my friends got had the classic plastic mechs in it, Warhammer, Phoenix Hawk, Battlemaster etc. We've still got a few of them around somewhere. That must have been in the late 80s.
