Word of Blake may be the reasonable conclusion of another few hundred years of praying into your personal technology devices.

Can we trace the lineage of Jerome Blake all the way back to Steve Jobs?

Seeing how part of the Jihad was House Marik's fault, I'm gonna beat down the every Free Worlder twice as hard. You can expect me to harass your worlds soon.

As Thomas Marik was wise enough to allow the Word of Blake refuge in the Free Worlds League, we will assist in destroying the heretics in the employ of House Steiner as they crawl forth from beneath the apron of the Archon!

Well let's see how good you are at "shooting Lyrans on sight". After all, the Free Worlds League are ancient enemies of the Lyran Commonwealth.

You seem to be a victim of propaganda.
The Holly War was not the mistake of Marik - not allone - It was the fault of the ruling familys of the Inner Sphere.
It was a sad mistake what happened on the Tharkad - but in the end - the light that should have guided human kind and cleanse the universe of the grave mistake called Clans - must have been used to protect the dream of the Star League and punish those that have betrayed - not for the first time - the ideals of the Star League.

I accept that you are a loyal servant of the Lyran Commenwealth -> but why do you place your self in front of your Steiner nobles - that will betray you and will sacrifice you for minor political aims.
They have proven that they are not able to rule - more than once the litter of Davion and/or Steiner has proven that there personal aims are more important as the life and wealth of there citizens.
  • 4th Succession Wars and the big betrayal of the Archon - while ignoring the sacrifice of her soldiers during Operation Goetterdaemmerung.
  • War of 39
  • Victor Steiner Davions - foul play with the emotions of a family -> and the consequence -> WAR between Marik,Liao and the FedCom? Again personal interests over the interests of a nation
  • Star League - and the ideals that should cost millions dearly - for what -> the re conquering of the St.Ives Compact, the annectxion of the Lyons Thumb
  • last not least the Civil War

I was so very wrong, the Blakists are not on Gibson for the good of the Free Worlds League, their "conversions" of the locals are far from voluntary. I fear for what could happen if this cult is allowed to flourish. I will now dedicate myself to eradicating them!

I see you got around to reading "An Ideal War". That's the one that puts me on the fence as well. The ideals of ComStar have been perverted, but is a splinter group of a splinter group enough to put together a force for good in the Inner Sphere.

Should I create the Knights of ComStar?

I will be returning to service in the FWLM once I complete my deprogramming.

Any BattleTech books have good Word of Blake stories? I don't know much about the Jihad.

Isle of the Blessed has been out a while - I bought it for my Kindle a month ago. It's an entertaining story that fleshes out the Jihad fluff a bit more. It actually provides mulitple Blakist viewpoints, so one can better understand their motivations.

Show your support for WoB in-game and rock out those stark-white 'mechs!

Mountain Camo - from Black in the bottom to Grey in the middle and White at the top
- all in shiny glowing premium colors - on all available Mechs but - HeroMechs

Its a pitty that we don't have a fourth color for highlights...wish i could use some bleached bone color

I'm just sad that we cant do decals or such.

I've always wanted to do the Light of Mankinds camo, but apart from doing the least shown color on a mech as red(To represent the red sword that the unit sports.). Maybe in the future eh?

Hey Errodien,

Are you affiliated with a Blakist merc unit, by chance? Stirring up CW with a Wobbie unit sounds like it would be a hoot.

Neo-feudalism? Space fascists? Nah. Technocratic religious fantatics are the way to go - if one is going to go BT evil, go all the way. I'll drop arty strikes right next to my mech as a last ditch to take the enemy with me.

Nay.

Part of a Clan for CW. God knows what I'd do if we made it to Jihad Era in this game for CW! xD

I suggest that we start a Comguard unit after the battle of Tukayyid in the MWO timeline and then change it over to the Light of Mankind.
