I made a quick video on introducing someone to this game. I tried to make it as basic as possible, what do you think?

Sorry but it stops running at 3 seconds in for me for some reason.

As you mention in the video, if you wanted to get into everything it would take a very long time. I think it's a good introduction to MWO overall, sort of like a teaser.

MW:LL would be better. Even if you have to purchase Crysis Warhead (for Crysis Wars) for $7.

If you are looking to get someone interested, I also suggest searching out Koniving's screenshots and videos (and now I am ducking for incoming comments from Kon  )

Welcome aboard and good luck recruiting future Mechwarriors!

Altogether a good video, you covered most, if not all of the major elements of the game. It might be a good idea if you were to produce a second video that detailed some of the finer points, but I think your video is just fine as it is.

Easy. They don't have real sensors. They have forward facing sensors. They took the visual detection of Battletech and made it the MWO radar (as frequently BT's radar/sensors fluctuate in range and detection is less than reliable in megamek for anything not directly in front of you).

Thus, you can remain mostly undetected so long as you are not visually seen by the enemy.

I confess switching modes would be nice, but largely it'd be fairly pointless with the design of sensors in this game.

Meanwhile, I recommend looking at Spike Brave's channel for tutorials and an introduction into MWO.

This is the playlist for tutorials.

That's what I got when just clicking the video in the thread. Will try the YouTube link and see what happens...

Nope, still private...
