Is it just me or has the Forum just started going quite unfriendly in the last week or so? Or am I imagining things?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I have not seen the forums get unfriendly. Seems like just a normal forum to me. Could be that tensions are running higher the closer release gets.

Nothing to worry about ... it will go away on launch and be replaced by Red nerf it fever ... thats when we worry

Haven't seen it. I have seen other forums that are WAY WAY WAY worse.

Agreed other forums have been worse, some due to the afore mentioned clue.

Yep! Its the yellow pending fever.
And the large amount of new users opening the same polls we had a couple of week ago, raising the same issues or asking the same questions, give us the sense that we are in a dead end.
We had a period when everyday had some new exciting info about the game, but nowadays? We see ONE "amazing" screenshot, or some "Ask the dev" about some trivial stuff we already new or pancakes.
People are guesting more frustrated.

One group of people, no matter how they act, isn't going to turn everyone into raging [REDACTED]. It's just frustration/anticipation/crap-posting, the frequency/intensity of which increases as we approach launch date. The day before launch, the forums will experience a meltdown due to the sheer volume of completely pointless posts; then, the day after release, you'll be able to hear a pin drop in here.

Unless there's some launch problem, that is...in which case, everyone will be here crying about it, making demands, threatening legal action...the usual stuff people do when their lives are eternally, irreparably ruined by a delayed/bugged game launch.

Just my 2 C-bills, of course.

I agree, yellow fever has everyone not in beta a little down.

Of course a few people are tuckered out from their Goonswarm hate threads (don't know why since having Goons around mean those haters will have an enemy to fight until clans show up).

Aside from that everyone has pretty much talked about everything they can until the next information update comes from the devs.

yeah. this place is a little more hostile.

between the yellow pending fever and the influx of people, it's hardly surprising.

That said, I still don;t think it's particularly justified; the response a lot of people gave to the Artemis controller (as an example) was just plain rude, if you ask me.

The other thing that probably has something to do with it, IMHO, is the volume of posts lately asking things that are so obviously explained elsewhere...say, right above their own post.
