I am not even sure I understand what you are talking about...might need more coffee here or something. Why in a world would I actually hate other people just for thier choice of a house/clan? I mean, I certainly can RP a dislike of IS folks (surats all), but you seem to be taking it to a whole another level.

I'm pretty sure that's just what he meant. How are you going to RP it ? Will said RP have influence on how you actually play your matches or the way you choose the planets you fight on, or something like this ?
I for example will try to not shoot Steiners for some time, because we're allies right now. As soon as Katherine pulls off her little nationalist PR stunt though, they're all toast

I'm leader of a Merc Corp. We're supposed to have real good relations with House Liao. Thing is, it's all about the C-Bills. And if people from House Davion or Steiner or whatever are offering more moola for my services, then guess who the contract is signed with?
Different houses are no different than games with a traditional Red Team and Blue Team (there's just more teams). One side fights for its colors, and you start hating people base don what colors they fly. My loyalty is based on whomever values my track record more.
I'm sure they game won't allow a Merc to sabotage a team, in that I can play on the enemy side but FOR the other team, because it would just see that as acts of friendly fire, to which the game would punish me for. Instead, I'll just lend my skills to the highest bidder and let the houses war over territorial control.

It would be a way to emulate the houses disapproval of whom I side with. Hopefully, if they do this, they also have houses understand that "To mercs, it's just about getting paid", and are less apt to lower the quantity or quality of contracts and instead, offer more money in order to help get such a nuisance resources to work for their will.

I doubt that - there are only so many weapons one can tie into a single TIC.

I don't know for sure how meta game is going to work yet, but you might only be able to drop against your in-universe enemies, at least in battles that count. In other words, somebody affiliated with FS might not be able to participate in a Marik-Liao fight. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'm more worried how factions that like each other will be done. Considering the time frame I'd find it odd for Davion and Steiner forces fighting each other.

Unless they do timeskips, we arent going to be able to play the FedCom civil war.. which is kinda a bummer. Say what you will about the characters involved, the SETTING itself is pretty cool

I allow myself to hate them out of pity. For they are not worth of my hate.
I try and have mercy by killing them with extreme hatred and prejudice.
I expect no love for I don't hate just for hating.
