Everyone is acting like Something Awful goons are going to kick over everyone's sandcastle at the playground. They're a bunch of gaming enthusiasts from a forum on a humor website, nothing more. Yes, they screwed people over in EVE online, but that's not even their real claim to fame, their claim to fame is being a community on the internet that sometimes produces neat things. Living in fear of THE GOONSWARM is like saying "Oh my god, 4chan is coming! Hide your kids! The game will be RUINED by people from a certain online community playing the game!"

The game is not going to be ruined just by a few more people playing the game, this game is not EVE online and you have no reason to fear a swarm approach since that sort of tactics doesn't even apply here, hell if anything you have more to fear from the massive amount of russians that will be playing the game than the Something Awful goons. Just calm your jimmies and move on, because seriously, this is not a subject that warrants MULTIPLE THREADS.

Squaawk! even the Noble Tetatae picked up on that vauge and xenophobic statement about having something to fear from playing a game with russians Squaawk! Russians are delicious to fight, Squaawk loves to peck out their eyes on a victorious field of battle, squaawk being an omnibird of prey.

Squaawk cannot read cryillic, but neither can human read tetatae, so who is the alien now?

a.) Mind you a CCP employee approved these slides
b.) the ever present "I was drunk, it was a stupid drunken ******* thing" - heard on EVE radio, dont say he didnt pull the drunk card
c.) He was "RPing" even though in that game's rules it says RP is no excuse
d.) He did apologize (then went on a 50 twitter rages in a hour fit after he got removed from his position of CSM and 30 day ban)

But yeah, this is the character of these guys.
I realize Ill get the typical Goon swagger "oh you are gonna get it now, qq qq" but yeah bring it. You guys arent the 0.0 entrenched 1 titan a day cause you happen to own all the valuable moons (coincidentally the lead dev and others who work at CCP are part of you)

I think ppl should really look at who the Goons are and what they do, by checking other games forums where the goons have been known to play..its seems they get a delight out of making ppl sad and they enjoy wrecking things for everybody, thats thier game plan.. they think that every game is created just for them, so this give them the right to Grief everyone
