The developers should seriously consider adding more dialogue to Bitching Betty, such as:

Enemy Mech Destroyed
Chain Fire Engaged
Group Fire Engaged
Mission Successful
Mission Failed
Weapon Door Open
Weapon Door Closed
Arm Lock Engaged
Arm Lock Disabled
Enemy Power-Up Detected
Internal Ammo Explosion Detected

Furthermore, players should be allowed to configure what audible warnings we get from Bitching Betty (checkbox list in the Options Menu). Thoughts/Opinions?

I'd like to add that the voice-over isn't robotic/automated enough. it feels like she's just passively reading lines in a neutral monotone voice. the lines should be individual and then stitched together.

for example:
Allied
Enemy
Mech
[Weapon]
[Component]
etc. should be individual lines. after stitching them together it would feel like it's actually a computer generating messages/alerts based on parameters and triggers instead of a bored overwatch that doesn't really care about her job.

here's an example; "Enemy:Mech:Destroyed" instead of; "...Enemy mech destroyed..."

Enabling and disabling what you want as per your own specifications should be a no-brainer.

In addition to this, text updates for all of these should be available to be displayed as per your preferences also.

I carry so much stuff in my heavy's. She won't shut up and keeps summing up of the things that are broke. I can tell what is destroyed and what not. But for some reason I enjoy her informing me of every single heatsink that's been destroyed.

I don't know.
I know the female computer voice was like in every mechwarrior game, but I feel I'd pay more attention if it was like the Exo-suit voice from Natural Selection 2.

CRITICAL FAILURE IMMINENT

the game has gotten quite, loud and I can't hear a soft female voice that sounds bored. ;)
non-the less I like the poll ideas.

We need a birchen betty suggestion thread

When you reach a capture point ‘nav point (Alpha) reached’
When hit by a PPC loss of ECM ‘ECM overload’

I would like the messages to 1) start with the important information and/or 2) be spoken faster. The incoming missile warning is an example of the problem.

Another warning thought: "[WEAPON] critical damage."

With regard to configuring the warnings, it'd also be great if you could customize the heat warning. For example, you could set the warning to come on at 70% heat if your alpha adds 25%.

"TARGET DESTROYED", now, or this game makes no sense.

I turned betty off after just two games and I still hope, PGI will put a menu into UI 2.0 which allows the user to choose, what Betty says. Warnings like "Incoming missile" or "Weapon destroyed" or "Ammo depleted" are fine and usefull, I like them. But if I have to hear "Target aquired" and "New target aquired" for the 20th time in just 2 minutes, I'm really going crazy. Of course I aquired a new target, I JUST HIT THE FLIPPING BUTTON FOR IT!

I'd like it if they added a repeating message from Bitching Betty that said "READY UP!" over and over before a match starts until a player actually clicks ready.

How about adding the option to get Betty with Tourette's?

To be serious, there is sooooo much thing PGI needs to focus on right now, I don't think this would even make it to the top 100 but even so, I voted yes.

'target destroyed' when you get a kill would be amazing

a 'beep' when you lock on SSRMs/LRMs would be great too - choosing beeps instead of the voice for some warnings would be interesting

She needs some work. Yes giving her a few more things to say, such as "Mech Detected" would help.

Agree with this. They should be modular messages, like at train stations.

Id like betty to state when the ambient temperature has changed due to location on certain maps

Totally agree with all of the above
