I will attempt to get stuff up next week. School is over this week. Just haven't had any time.

I could certainly do the joint heavy fight, however I'd planned it on being the first step on Jack realising he needed friends and teammates, etc rather than the first time fighting with one. Can probably still do that though if he largely ignores D and has his ass saved a couple times/briefly?

That's very possible. Steel Lady is sporting quad AC 2's? I imagine if an enemy got up close and personal with you then things would get hella ugly real quick. I was thinking of D rolling with some sort of half a$$ed Butterbee version of the C'pult, good close range firepower to bail you out if you're willing...

This could work. Questions; what map, and what opponents? Let's see maybe two other heavies so anywhere from 120 to 150 tons? Maybe a Marauder and a... *thinks* Rifleman, and us fighting it out in the Jungle? Nobody's used that map yet. I dunno let me know what'cha think.

From the descriptions I left it's a massive junkyard and a large FFA. My plan is for Jack to, despite his best efforts, be nearly completely ineffective for the whole fight and get downed gracelessly with no points. Play on his daddy issues and force him to realise no man is an island, etc. Maybe D ends up in it last minute when someone pulls out?

Okay so heavy FFA, how many are you shooting for being in this thing? 8-12? I can see a last minute swap, "Hans Gurgenson came down with food poisoning by going ahead and eating some lobster he bought along the roadside. There's an open spot, you want in?"

That's work nicely. D already hit up Von Bremen for another fight, and if I'm recalling correctly they conversed about the C'pult.

That's a lot of metal. Map would have to be huge.... You have the mechs in mind yet, or you willing to make some rolls on the dreaded random mech assignment page's? I got the MW2 RPG book handy...

Okay lets see... all heavies. Random rolls are... random. Figure we could pick out specific versions just to ad some diversity to the Warhammers and Marauders.
1. Steel Lady, Jagermech
2. Lady Star-Struck, Catapult
3. Marauder
4. Archer
5. Orion
6. Dragon
7. Warhammer
8. Ostroc
9. Marauder
10. Warhammer
11. Grasshopper
12. Catapult.

Reroll the second marauder and both Whammers? Aren't they supposed to be super rare in this point in the timeline?

I don't believe so, but what the heck? But at this point I think any rerolling I do will result in other duplicates.

How about a Crusader, a Cataphract, and a Thunderbolt?

How about we keep the Warhammer at 7 and make it Anvil, Bernie's new ride?

6. Dragon
7. Anvil Warhammer
8. Ostroc
9. Crusader

Hey Rogue, did you have a date/time for the fight? Just asking so I can use put down some time stamps on my post that'd work with us having a group battle.

Nice post, Sparky. I'll stew over on that for a bit and try to get some more up sometime soon.

Edit: Nevermind, the internet miraculously recovered it.

So I had a post written, describing Steel Lady getting put through her paces. Jack was very jealous of Bertie's new ride, but still irately proud of being chosen for the stable's first heavy fight. He doesn't know he'll have friends. He's stressing out about being back in her pilot seat. I went into some detail on the updated targeting computer, full of new software. I even mentioned the rotgut Jack's swigging away at is old tea in a green bottle.
Unfortunately I lost internet. However, the post went up perfectly in my browser, but with all the code for bold, etc put in. So after editing it unsuccessfully a couple times, I closed the tab. Came back now to check it. Unfortunately, it's not there.
The writing was crap, I haven't written in too long, so I'm not particularly unhappy to see it go - but the basic ideas were decent. So there they are, in case I don't get around to rewriting it tomorrow. Not sure how much time I'll have. Thought I should let you all know I have been trying to get a post in - only been...oh...7 months since my last one...
