FRR centered merc units to those who still want to be part of FRR but dont like the strict rules of the standing army (Kungsarmé).

This is pretty much EXACTLY what we're shooting for here. I'm married, have a job, going to be going back and taking night courses in the hopes of a Masters degree, wife is demanding kids... there's NO way I would have time to run a unit devoted to hardcore organized play with mandatory activity and the like. If I can't live up to it, there's no way in heck I'd force other people to. Our "organization" is there to help people utilize their time BETTER and make life easier. If it isn't serving that purpose, I think it's failing us and needs to be improved. We'll have regular "meet ups", like we do now, set times of the week where you know people will be around, but they are certainly never going to be mandatory. We've broken the 100 member mark, and there's pretty much always people available on our TeamSpeak server for various games (and this is without MWO being live yet). Additionally, we have people that cover every playtime, since we have members from around the world as well as people who work odd hours/have insomnia.

That is precisely what I am looking for. I'll check out the site...

Question to the Skjaldborg:

Are you a mercenary group only or do you also have members alligned to the FRR?

I'm thinking of it, but I doubt anyone would join.

Back in the day I was in a competitive TFC clan, we had as many as three matches a week. Now as an adult, I don't have the time or inclination to dedicate myself to a "serious" merc corp that is trying to conquer planets.

However, I'd love to find a group of like-minded mechjocks who are interested in organized team play and would be interested in partying up to form lances/companies whenever we happen to be online at the same time to kick DCMS and LCAF pickup groups' butts. Anyone looking for or planning something similar?

Give a glance at House Jurai. www.nodachi.net

I would be inclined to check out your .net but... You took the name of a battlemech for it's domain. I think that's kind of lame.

FRR aligned Merc group.
We love FRR but want little bit more freedom than Kungsarmê can offer atm.

Meaning... if you're fighting for a Faction, you have zero organizational control.

For all intensive porpoises, we're an FRR Faction unit. Due to the nature of the game, we're "role-playing" as a FRR dedicated mercenary unit that got its start in the Tyr Resistance Movement and the formation of the Republic.

I think you just described Faction warfare.

Yes, I plan to form or be in a group...

Haven't made it past that point yet.

Come join the Silverhawks in the FWL, we have posts open still, and are willing to except anyone playing in the eastern time zone evenings.

We have enough people online 24/7, so no need to adjust your online time.
Just login and see whos online and get a game going! :)
(Should have enough for full lance around the clock)

Man, you're really trying to poach people from the FRR hard. I hope you're giving as much attention to the other factions so they don't feel left out.

Our goal is to have enough people around the clock to have a full 12 man Company dropping.

The other factions have less strife, to be honest with you. Even the self serving Davions. Your inner fighting will destroy your defences, for some members will refuse to fight with other members. I am offering a way out before you start to lose planets.
