Is it possable? I can not remember if you could do this in the MW games of years ago.
Silly question I know but it could be fun Imagine the DFA with a 100 ton mech squishing a jenner :D

You could do that in mech 2, but i dont think that there is a standard atlas variant that comes equiped with jump jets. Maybe they will release the highlander next though, to give us a jumping assault mech.

A jumping atlas... that would scare the crap out of me.

Thankfully i dont think there are any canon variants that come with jump jets.

they already said before you could only add JJ to mechs with JJ in a variant and I don't know of any atlas JJ variants.

The warlord is an 80 ton mech based off the battlemaster design, not the atlas.

The one you are referring to is a mektek version and not canon.

OP: The variant you are looking for is the one below

AS7-K3 - A modification of the K2, the K3 removed the two Streak SRM-6 launchers and replaced them with three jump jets and a Streak SRM-4 launcher, giving the AS7-K3 incredible maneuverability. BV (1.0) = 1,952, BV (2.0) = 2,346[17]

Dober, was that showing up before 3049 though? It says in the footnotes that it's from the 3089 TRO...

Marauder II have jump jets though... if you wanted another assault that was capable - slow though at 3...

I wouldn't mind if there's one variant with jets, at least until we get a Highlander or some other jump capable assault

@BFalcon
I 'think' it was added long after the MC2 appearance of an Atlas with JJs. Not really sure though. Time does not appear to limit canon and I think that is both a blessing and a curse. You may think you know everything and before you know it, suddenly appears a new variant and changes the whole picture. On the other hand this may expand your options and make things just a little more interesting.

P.S. As for 3049, MC2 was during the FedCom civil war, so that would push it more towards 3060 rather than 3050. Seems to be out of reach for now.

Dober: Tell me about it... :)

I'm going by Heavy Metal Pro's notes... the design is listed as being in the TRO I listed, so that'll be the latest it's available, I think, so I think you'll likewise be post-3060 since it's not in that update either. :(

Either way, a long way off, as you say.

Jump assaults are lumbering things anyhow... better off with a jump-capable heavy IMO...

My acient mind might be miss leading me but wasn't the Hilander a 90 ton mech and the Warlord a 80 ton mech. I not sure if there was any 100 ton varient mechs with jump jets.

There was a movie some time ago that featured the 'Hockey Mask' Atlas and showed it to be quite a bully on the battlefield. First real treat is shortly after 2:10 and then another one after 2:53. The main gun seems to suggest something like a Rotary AC20 because the first MadCat just got ventilated in less than 2 seconds. Awesome firepower ... finally.
