Meanwhile... in the RoboTech universe...
When I originally watched RoboTech, there were some parts of the show that made my head hurt. Sure, I expect some derp things in these shows, but RoboTech had alot of them.
"QUICK! We have to escape the Zentraedi ship! Ignore the massive hole in the that we just made that leads outside, and through which we just threw the Zentraedi leader. Because we have this airlock that we must slowly cut opened with our dwindling energy supplies!!!"
Just to name the most memorable.

Good ol' Macross.
Reminds me of a Gundam series I saw (I can't remember which one) but in one episode at the beginning of the show a mech gets its head cut off and it falls over, presumably disabled. Then much later during the same show, another mech being piloted by a villian gets its head cuts off and keeps functioning as if it were perfectly fine. It was a different model of mecha, but still.
Seriously, I went "What the frak."

I laughed good.
The Interesting thing is that Sizzles is my fallback name when my normal Gammertag is taken.
Thankfully, that wasn't me, as I never took GTA-V and went online.

I really hate to say it, but I have a hard time believing that the original art for BattleMechs ever looked good to anyone, at any point in time. Of course this entire forum full of fans proves me otherwise, but personally, I just don't see it. I mean come on... They don't even have proper joints how do they twist their torsos?

Because it looks like an actual functioning BattleMech, with joints and pieces that make sense, and not cartoony lineart.

That it does not. But most Battlemechs didn't in their original TROs. That's why I always wondered how one would "torso twist" on the TT game.
The minis though... Thoughts ALWAYS look good. Assuming they're painted.
I'm thinking about buying an entire new box set just so I can re-paint mine. Paint doesn't come off plastic very well I've found. -Glances over sadly at my ruined Awesome. -

'Dat catapult though! What I learned with little painting experience myself is to scrape the paint off with a sharp hobby knife, just hold the blade perpindicular to the actual panel line you are working on, any other angle might cut into the plastic of the model.
Also I highly recommend the new box set, just give the minis a good wash as the paint will wear off without it, I learned the hard way with the atlas and battlemaster .
Also I donno if they're still doing it but a guy on Feebay was selling the minis off for 12 dollars a lance. Also catalyst is coming out with IS lance packs pretty soon to consisting of a recon, assault, and support lance. Each has 2 mechs from the box Set and one new plastic mech that's not in the box set if you didn't want to buy the whole box set again.
Anyways hope this helps
