Personally, I will use a Catapult with 2 LRM 20's and a single large laser since it could kill mech's and hopefully not get touched so i wouldn't have to pay for repairs. Also seems easy to refit since i am just buying plain LRM ammo.

Well I'm going to have a Catapult with 3 x LRM20 and 2 x Lg Lasers!

Actually a tough call. I kind of like a Jenner for easy money. cheap repairs, fast enough to get out of trouble and flank, plus it packs a pretty good punch.

Bit hard to know without knowing the money making potential of each mech! I'd probably make my go to mech an assault though unless it is too expensive to run.

It may just be the way it looks, but that freaking Cataphract looks like a sweet ride. I had spec'd out a 65KPH full armor, 3LL, 1UAC/5, ECM variant that I think I could cause a lotta trouble with

this is a really hard question to answer without haveing played. after all, how much do repairs cost on average for each mech? and how are C-bill awarded per match, all of which could be answered with read only access to the beta forums. QQ

Money Making?! LOL. I'm sure my mech will be a money pit. But I'm looking at either the Raven or Jenner. I'm a Scout at heart, I don't like shooting. Calling Arty is my weapon of choice.

If there are bonuses for a lighter mech hitting a bigger mech then I bet the Jenner make you a pretty penny. As long as you don't get hit first.

It's hard to say without knowing the cost difference between repairing energy weapons and resupplying ammo on ballistic weapons.

Probably start off with a Commando being near and dear to my heart. But it all depends on how everything interacts.

We just have four Mechs to choose, or am i wrong? Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult and Atlas, afaik.

And regarding this four Mechs, i´ll choose the Catapult. I could live with the Hunchback, but i´ll prefer to stay save and jumpy!

For Moneymaking avoid:

Missile boats: missiles are expensive & countered by AMS
Scouts: devs have said that every role is revarded, yet Iam still sceptic about that (WoT scouts =/= moneymakers)
Assaults: may make a lot but repairs gona cost a lot too
