It's okay, but rather thin to my tastes. I'd rather have a nice stout or IPA.

If I really needed something alcoholic and Japanese, I'd get a bottle of sake - tastes better, more alcohol, and keeps money out of Anheuser-Busch's pockets.

Beer is awful, but not as awful as beer discussions on the internet.

Give me a stout any day and on the bottom of that pint I want to find a beta key.

You're absolutely right. It's a good thing we've got discussions on mead (in the FRR forums) and scotch (in the off topic forum) to help balance things out.

Doesn't like beer or beer discussions...

Probably not old enough to drink or has no friends to enjoy/party with.

Kirin = Best of the big three J beers (and I went there on my honeymoon). Though I will say that the best beer I had in Japan was called Suntory Malt's... Really good if you aren't someone who favors Hopslam or Guinness style beers.

I love Kirin because it is 50 cents a can at my local Japanese supermarket. Did I mention my wife works there and brings it home when we run out? Love the stuff.

Not about beer on the internet. Every "conversation" is the same trite bullshit and the fact is that nobody cares about your choice of beer. Plus, inevitably you end up with the "lol ur beer is **** water herp derp i only drink real beer <crappy beer nobody's heard of>".

But hey, I can leave you to your forum circlejerk where you can pretend you are best friends and have something in common with an internet stranger because you drink a drink that's consumed by millions of other people with ruined taste buds*.

* Scientific fact. Go read a book, learn why kids have a sweet tooth you lose as an adult and why they hate coffee, and the evolutionary advantage of disliking bitter flavors, and what happens to most people's taste buds as they age. I lost my sweet tooth, but cannot stand bitterness. Which is what hops is.

Be glad it exists, or you world would be speaking gaelic, or at least have an Irish accent, right now. ;)
