Having been an award winning real ale landlord in the past (camra pub of the year two years running) I know a thng or two about liquid bread and the best beer (In my view) is Jiapur followed by copper dragon IPA.

It's a whiskey, actually. I was quoting Lost In Translation.

As far as Japanese beers go I've always preferred Asahi Super Dry over Kirin Ichiban (although the artwork on Kirin Ichiban's can is pretty boss.)

Be glad it exists, or you world would be speaking gaelic, or at least have an Irish accent, right now. ;)

Actually, it took Whiskey for that to be prevented.

In the beginning, there were the Celts and the rest of the world.

The Celts liked the rest of the world and enjoyed playing with it and taking stuff.

The rest of the world got tired of this, so they made sure that when the Celts came by, they captured a lot of beer, wine, and mead.

The Celts got drunk, and this made it easier to kick them back home for a time.

The Celts realized they liked beer/wine/mead, so they came back. Again, and again, and again.

Someone taught the Celts how to make whiskey, and they stayed home forever after.

Started brewing my own and kegging it- a few months ago- always have on tap- 3 kegs-
A wheat/ A Stout- and a Red or brown ale...
And boy are they tasty!
Cheers!

I remember buying a 2 litre of Kirin years ago and it poured out of this little cool Dragon's head - made a whistling noise when you poured-

I prefer Belgians such as Rochefort 10 and Westmalle Tripel. American Craft beers such as Stone Brewery's Arrogant ******* Ale and Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA have made it into my list of favorites as well. What I like about Japanese beer such as Kirin is that they are among the most crisp and clean beers I've ever tasted.
