Nice editing. Only thing that bothered me a bit was that all your mech shots were from behind. Nice work anyway, and even then if it's your first video ;).

Thanks for the criticism. Will take that into consideration for the next video. Tad hard for me to get decent footage whilst piloting a Stalker and getting blown to bits lol.

Great Video.

I Like your way of syncing the scenes with the music, I always tend to do that to.

Now, you could add some of the following things next time:

- A vignette (creates an instantly epic scenery)
- Colour correction (Try to create a SweetFX feeling or a colourscheme that fits the mood)
- Get a bunch of people and stage some scenes

(right) Shift + F11 removes the hud. But on most mechs you will still see the mech frames. If you zoom in with a Stalker then you won't see anything so I believe he is the most used mech for that kind of filming. I've heard that maybe the commando can have clear view too but I've never owned a commando so cant say for sure.

Appreciate your feedback. I'll have a look at your suggestions. I actually had to Google what a vignette is lol
I'll have a look at SweetFX. Have heard about it, haven't played with it yet. Hopefully soon I'll create another video, get some guys to do some acting ;)

I have a macro to hide and show my HUD. I've used the Stalker to do the filming. 3 x zoom. LIke MadPanda said, most mechs you can see the frame even when zoomed. The Jagermech can do the filming as well, but Stalker is more durable.

Can a mod please change the title of the thread? I'm looking to put all my videos into a single thread

Commandos are great for recording footage. Zoom in twice, armlock, and bam. Camera Commando. It's what is used to get the screenshots in the Perfect Screenshot thread. Very easy to get ahead of what you're recording, too without being in the way.

So I made a second account and bought a Commando. I've tried recording with it, but what I've found is that if I turn too quickly, the metal bars of the mech appear in the shot. Playing at 1200 x 1200, I've tried running at 1920 x 1080, but that's even worse. I would imagine I would need to decrease my FOV a bit to eliminate this?

Armlock. Prevents that from happening.

Also field of view has no effect on zoom. It's always the same FOV for each zoom. Though you could in theory force an FOV of 45 or 30 (narrower than most zooms). But that'll really mess with your depth perception.

Thanks for the tips. Been recording some footage with a second account and a Commando ;)

This seems to remind me of something crucial... I need to make some intros.

Of those, my favorite is the last one.

Good Rhythm with the cuts and music, love the titles. Choice of music was good. I personally would drop the Mask (the darkened effect around the edges), or at least keep it consistent (it seemed) to pop in and out in certain cuts.

Love your choice of movement and visual, two or three shots were jerky but this is my only critique. I would've changed the music about halfway through to another piece. Loved the visuals and your choice of framing your shots. Great piece of work.
