Much like the Urbanmech, the Atlas glowing eyes (with a toggle) would surely please many if not ALL community members, with no drawback whatsoever.

Once upon a time I was told by a dev that this had a decent chance of coming back...though likely with an MC cost.

Sadly...since then (like, a year ago) I've heard nada.

I agree. The glowing red eyes on an atlas are really cool.

Not just that, but your inaurgal video has them in, but also shows how the head is outlined in a contrasting background, making a target of itself anyway.

It's not like the red glow needs to be on all the time. Just a brief dimming glow for 2sec's max seen when switching onto a target is badass enough.

Glowing eyes must return... for the better of the community, toggle would be nice for it too!

Considering this is one of the few surviving polls where the support is overwhelmingly positive...it'd be nice.

Update. I can carefully say that sir Russ is adding it on his to-do list! :)

Cant tell the details i think since that's private and i respect him.

To the Devs - The simplest hook I can think of for this, would be to tie it to cockpit lights ... done (hopefully yes?), no added keybinds / ui functions.

I never had a glowy-eyed Atlas, so I really want to have the option...!
Not to mention some kind of camo to make the Atlas's head a completely different color than the rest of the paint.. but that is an entirely different subject.

I see this as a no brainer. Just look at the Poll results, PGI !!!

Where are all the people who insisted on having this feature removed? The poll doesn't reflect the argument that the decision came from the player base. At least today's player base.

If i meet the people who had the idea to remove the red light in the atlas eyes, they will see the red light in mine.

Here's how this has basically unfolded:
2012: Dev 01: Let's give the Atlas glowing eyes to entice new players to play MechWarrior, and keep old ones thinking: "Holy #$@! MECHWARRIOR IS BACK! BETA-KEY?? WHAT!?!?"
Dev 02: "Ok. But let's make an oath."
Dev 03: "What's the oath?"
Dev 02: "Let's make it apart of a function that can be turned off by following a True/False procedure."
Dev 03: "So basically, we can turn the Atlas Red-Eyes anytime we want?"
Dev 02: "Exactly."
Dev 01: "Hmm.. splendid."
Dev 03: "Well I'm not a troll, but you convinced me."
Dev 02: "So you're in?"
Dev 03: "rgr."
Dev 02: "Splendid... xD evil laugh"

In the near future:
Dev 01: "Are you going to turn that function off already?"
Dev 02: "Oh yeah."
-turns atlasEYES: FALSE

Atlas Pilots 5 minutes later: "Something's not right."

This is the level of awesome we will regain if the atlas eyes are returned.
