Edit: Perhaps it would be easier (hahaha, the programmers will curse me now) to link it to the cockpit light. Lights off - eyes off. Lights full - glowing eyes.
I'd like to vote for this feature. And also, the light inside the Atlas cockpit (in the 1st person view) could have a faint but noticeable red tint to remind you that you have 'red glowing eyes' turned on.

A shader to cast a red glow inside the cockpit as well, of an equal strength to the glow of the eyes? Oh, yes! Give me that, please.

No idea man...I've had it in my signature since I created it, trying to farm votes...doing pretty damn well so far. That "I'm just here to troll you" option is invaluable :)

How has this not implemented back in yet. This would be an awesome & easy crowd pleaser to keep your players happy, and the poll really speaks for itself.

I was wondering the same thing! This will not only increase the cool factor of the game in general, but also increase sales of the Atlas! A win-win!

It seems to me that PGI is doing what most Game companies do.. that is doing as little as possible to avoid running up costs to maximise profits...

I'd love to see this and don't know why thus far it hasn't been put in.

Once upon a time, Atlas eyes glowed a fierce, demonic red...and it was awesome.

Then people noticed that you could see that terrifying gaze...from across the battlefield, and due to player input, PGI removed this feature.

Personally, I thought it was an EXCELLENT perk of driving an Atlas to have those menacing peepers...

So...since we know PGI has coded the eyes...and they have a code for toggling (see missile bay doors) why not include this feature again and put it on a toggle for player preference?

OMG that's awesome. I came too late to see that. Yes, I think a toggle would be EXCELLENT. Use the open missile bay door key ("/" by default) as a multi-function toggle depending on the mech. as the Atlas doesn't have the doors this could be used for the eyes on this mech...and maybe other creative things would come up for other mechs. Perhaps play a riff on demand with the HeavyMetal with the switch.

I've been loving the response when I drive my Atlas around a corner and do an alpha strike...with glowing eyes it would be even better. Fun Fun!

Screenshots Please...anybody have some with the glowing eyes?

Don't worry, the hero atlas "boarhead" will have one energy slot in the head so you can mount a tag in there. That will be 7500mc thanks.

I wish! Though it does not.

I have my Boar's Head set up with a 400 XL, 4 ER Large Lasers and a shit ton of Double Heat Synchs.

Yes, glowing red eyes are great, it helps my Misery target the weakest part of the Atlas for even more Atlas kills.

Something just occured to me while messing with my controls.

Tie it into the Atlas Statue, and the Toggle Cockpit Item key.
Atlas Statues Eyes glow > Actual Atlas Eyes glow.
Atlas Statues Eyes dark > Actual Atlas Eyes dark.

I would probably buy the Atlas bundle and an Atlas statue or two more, just for that.

Bump this until it happens. Probably one of the most unanimously "YES" polls on the entire board. There's literally over 500 votes from people telling you about one of the easiest crowd pleasing features you could implement, and you've already had this once! So clearly you know how to do it (with the exception of the toggle feature)

I don't even pilot an Atlas, I would have no problem getting gunned down by a 100T Glowing-eyed beast.

I approve of this. It was always cool seeing the eyes and quite frightening when it was multiple atlases.
