Or the battlemaster is short.. =P

Any way it is easy to check. just get to that part of that map and park different mechs and we will see.

Judging by the size of that building, It's up to the gauss rifle on your atlas, a little bit above prehaps. Battlemaster is a Dwarf fighter as befitting of his name.

brb, checking to see how tall that actually is in the training grounds.

Otherwise, not rediculously fat at least. So thats a plus

Bad news, the Shadowhawk is about as tall (if not taller) than a cataphract, which is 15 tons bigger.

The good news, its alot thinner.

The bad new, PGI is living up to their standards of {Scrap} scalling. I am dissapoint.

Maaan. I do not envy Hunchback pilots haha. (I am one). That shoulder is alot smaller and can pack the exact same punch.

Shadow Hawk:

It's as tall as a Kintaro, also known as BIGGER THAN A HEAVY. Actually it seems like it might be even taller than a Kintaro. Why don't they ever learn...

Trebuchet size.

Checked the size of that building against my Awesome and the Battlemaster is about the same size as the Awesome, so at least that is consistent.

It looks WAY too big.

Seriously? How many times have people complained about scale in this game?

Cataphract is wider than a Sumo Wrestler though. Shadowhawk will be a smaller target. Especially the ballistic hunch. Most of its size is in the legs which is good.

I agree. May be as tall, but it looks spindly as hell.

No, the scale is not okay. Medium mechs have less armor and firepower than heavies by definition, and therefore they should be noticeably smaller than heavies as compensation for that (the reason why lights are so small).

I scaled the background platform to the same size as the battlemasters image and this is what I got.
Have to take difference in perspective of each image in account but it's not as bad as it seems, I think.

One can only hope they would scale mediums that well. From the screenies taken above of Kintaros and Cataphracts, there isn't much hope of PGI being this generous.

If you look at the SH and BM pictures individually, you'll see that both of them are slightly taller than the top of the garage they are standing next to. As such, their heights are fairly close.

For reference. Scaled the platforms to the same size, cut out the shadowhawk and placed it near the battlemaster.
