MM does not place premades evenly on teams.

New players start out at to HIGH of an ELO.

That one fact, starting ELO, is what has so borked their MM efforts.

The assumption that a new player is slightly above average is silly, nay down right stupid!

By definition a new player is a Novice/beginner, they should start in the low end.

If they are good they should advance, if they are very bad, they should sink to the very bad pool where they might actually become Average players (grading by the curve) in that match. if they are Average players they should have found a true elo level without all the facestomping.

The mere fact that PGI is trying to use a system designed for one on one tournament players in a team game where teams are often random indicates massive failure on PGI's part to begin with.

The only surprise is that sometimes you get even fights, but, I put that down to the simple law of probabilities.

Your info is outdated.

New players under cadet bonus start and are locked at 1100 Elo (below the average) for the duration of their cadet bonus. Past that their Elo score is calculated the same as everyone else's.
