Here is a thread for all those (like myself) who bemoan the fact that our poor systems will not be suitable for this incredible-looking game...

P.S.- This is a joke thread, not a place to try to flame the devs for daring to advance gaming technology.

You don't meet Minimum or Recommended? If minimum how are you playing any game designed in the last 4 years?

Spent the entire day trying to figure out how to get upgraded to where i need to be... its really unfortunate, i will need to put about $600 in to run the game, that's money that won't go to the game... :(

CURSE YOU SHADER 3.0! My six-year-old Dell can't handle it, and it's preventing me from playing anything made in the past 3 years or so :(

The good news is I finally have income, so I can start saving up for a less antiquated comp.

I don't understand why people expect technology to stagnate as much as they wish it would. Or to play games more visually intricate than Angry Birds on computers that have no dedicated graphics card. It's not like the parts are expensive, you just need to read enough to know what to buy and where to get the deals. Building a case (from scratch) to meet the minimum requirements could be as cheap as 300$

Games being developed primarily for consoles due to piracy concerns have meant that hardware requirements haven't risen with the same pace as during the 90s. I used to have to replace my computer about every two to two-and-a-half years to avoid being frustrated with game performance, but my last few computers have lasted three to four years, upgraded without urgency. Nowadays you'll read that developers are frustrated with game performance on memory-limited 360s, and the same remarks slightly less frequently about the PS3s.

The free-to-play/cheap-to-play digital distribution models (think Steam) are positively affecting the profitability of game development for the PC, and the timing couldn't be better, as console games in no way approximate the variety of games you'll find on the PC - if for no other reason than keyboards permit a whole hell of a lot more complexity than console controllers.

But hey, if you love the consoles to the exclusion of all else, Call of Duty/Halo/Gears of War sequels are just getting warmed up. The rest of you should probably look at upgrading your computers to something made in the last three years - at least your 1080p 40"+ LCD TVs will make *******' monitors!

Or you could build the same spec computer for half the cost, and no time waiting other than the 2-3 day shipping period of parts? :P

He works full-time, I work part-time. The nights he works, I have off, and the nights I work, he is off. The only exception to this is Sundays, and even then, he goes to work several hours before I do... so I don't see the problem!

I'm really not getting what all the fuss is about with the system requirements, they are far from outrageous.

Anything not running a Core 2 Duo equivalent or better this day in age should probably be scrapped to be put out of it's own misery.

The 8800GT was a top of the line card, 6 years ago. You can snag a Radeon HD6670, which offers nearly the same performance, for $65 on Newegg. Heck, my old HD5670 handles everything I've thrown at it without a hitch, and I never have to go below Medium settings on anything.

If your operating system alone requires 1 gig of Ram (2 gigs for Win7 64-bit), and you're only running 2 gigs, it's time to expand. Ram is not that expensive. You can get 4 gigs of decent memory for $23.

It's not that hard, or expensive, to get an old rig up to spec.

wait wait a sec. what specs we talking. Just simpley building a quad core cpu with a decent gpu of 1gig memory & around 800mhz for decent graphics. thought the reuirements are direct x9.c basicly AGP graphics card could run it with a cheap AMD chip
