I attempted to pick Battlemechs that both fit the canon, and that fill a niche not currently filled. However, the Urbanmech was included purely because I've seen a lot of people asking for it.

I'm well aware that you already have a list. However, I took your list and am trying to narrow it down to options that a lot of people have requested (either by name or by loadout), options that fill niches that aren't filled yet, and/or options that, once again, fit both canon and Unseen requirements.

Your list is a useful reference, but completely useless for what I am trying to accomplish, especially since all the mechs I've listed have at least one variant from before 3050, and at least two variants in or around 3050.

But only one mech on your poll even qualifies for PGI's consideration.

I would like to see the first 110 ton mech.... the game can support mechs all the way up to 400 tons. of course it can only mount a single 400 engine and move 10 kph,11 with mastery, but that still leaves about 325 tones for armor and weapons...... MC price will be 30,000.

Heavest mech on BT was the Orca at 200 tons and it isn't canon. Show me a 400 ton mech that is in BT I think I missed it in the data banks.

Caesar is not special. Indeed the CTF-1X has the exact same hardpoint layout. Try building one, the pulse lasers run really hot by the way.

The Mauler looks to good to not be in the game. Plus it's stock config would be really effective. (maybe a few tweaks)

I'm going with the Mauler, it has some good ballistic hardpoints you can work with.

well this game is again an heavy-assault rulz game, just like mw4(our fathers mechwarrior), thx to the promised but somehow just non existent cone of fire ... so divide the the assaut ant heavy options by 5 to get a result that dont take the games obvious shortcommings into account!

Sorry? I don't want the Mauler because I want to win, I want it because it's a freaking Mauler!

None of the above, but I'd pick the Caesar if I'd have to.

well u get respected as the one brave amoung the four others that want it for the win ... you are our hero!

on the other hand what u say, wrote or present to others doesnt have to match your true intensions ... pgi, smith and thinker, mr weissman itselve ... they all have proven that they are just 'storrytellers'!

Yes, even though I have never actually piloted a non-trial assault in this game, I must be lying through my teeth when I say that I want the Mauler because I like it's aesthetic, and indeed, you have discovered my deeply ingrained desire to take this Mauler and use it's clearly overpowered capabilities and crush teh noobz.

You forgot alot of famous Mechs of the time.

I still say Zeus since it was one of the favorite mechs of Wolf's Dragoons and there are 5 models that are reasonably different by 3048 including the ZEU-9S and ZEU-9S2 with advanced features.

Weapons earlier models carried include Binary Lasers and Thunderbolt Lasers even after this item had become lostech on other Mechs.

So the Zeus has a very interesting storyline if PGI is up to making use of it.

Battle droids was the original name for BT and George Lucas sued any one using the word droid. max weight limit at that time was 400 tones.
