Vulture is going to be an absolute beast. Really can't wait for the next batch of clan mechs...they are going to add a lot to the clan arsenal and give some more variety for us clanners.

The different variants have been based off the information from this page:

http://www.solaris7....Info.asp?ID=593

The A configuration has got x3 SRM 6 launchers in each side torso, and the B has got 2 S-SRM 6 Launchers in its right torso, along with an LRM 20 in the left torso.

In this render, you can see there are 3 SRM 6 launchers, and some little plates covering up the tubes that are not in use to the side.

On the LRM 20 launcher, the plating is remove, and there are 6 missiles there, plus 14 in the main launcher part next to them.

This looks amazing. Vulture had to be one of the scariest looking mechs to me, beaten only by the Atlas and of course the horrifying view of a timberwolf walking over a hill towards you.

See I'd have separated the side torso structure from the CT, and have the LRM20 like the above img, but with an additional tube at the top or bottom of the three rows shown, in a 7/6/7 arrangement.

Edit - I'd also have an Apache helicopter style sensor pod slung under the nose, where old art had a box-thing.

Not done much work on this recently, got most of the CT textures done, and normal mapped.

Greetings all,

With the release of the 'Alex' art work for this Mech, what comparison changes are we seeing?

Posted Image

Beefier lower arms, nose pod at a lower angle, very small torso pods and much smaller missiles, torso top sensor pack, shorter barrels, cockpit not following the center torso lines, shorter center torso nose (more compact), tighter torso to hips distance. (with protection plates)

Overall a more MWO compact design. And using some of the same parts from similar MWO mech's.

How might this effect the rendered design you have presented?
- Only a few design changes I would or might consider is to reduce the size of the side torsos, with much smaller missiles and ports. Smaller cockpit windows and more framing, to add more armour. (as the size is disproportional to the Mech) And lop off some of the nose, too long.

Good design and rendering.

Just some suggestions,
9erRed

great work, looks very nice.

The CT nose with those 2 round things reminds me of a chameleon xD
