IMO, that sounds like we've relied on "alien technology" and not our natural piloting/gunnery skills to achieve victory for the Empire.

Why not place it in the context of the BT universe and talk about lineage extending back into the StarLeague or something, with tacticians and mechanics whose abilities can be described as nothing short of Alien when matched against InnerSphere pilots.

Evidently, it was a combination of both actually.

Like I said, that first paragraph was written by Josev. My contribution starts at the description from mech 3 on.

Did we play 3 cycles or 4 in Starlance? I remember playing in 3 for the Empire, where we were like 6th, 3rd, and finally 1st....something like that.

There was another league the Empire participated in (during the last cycle of Starlance) but I can't remember the name of it. The league was a Planetary Conquest type league (no respawn) that lasted 1 cycle (2- 2 1/2 months). I led the Empire in that league......and of course we dominated. The Empire never lost a c1, c5, or c6 match, only losing a stock match occasionally. You chose not to participate because you thought it was gay hehe. I had hoped you would have played Wolff, because it was a lot of fun seeing the Empire spread out so quickly throughout the Inner Sphere.

I don't think we got into Combat Zone under the Karaian Empire name.

I think we played 3 cycles and won the last one by quite a bit.
I'm not sure why I didnt play that NBT league or whatever it was. I think I was deep into Dark Age of Camelot by then hehe.
