The Æsir's bloodlust has been sated, as has the Vanir's desire for new fertile camaraderie between the children of Northlands.

Most of you didn't know me before this began, and I didn't know most of you. But warriors from all over the FRR met to do holy battle beneath the snow-speckled sky. We came as strangers and we left as kin.

Over a hundred warriors fought in a three week period. We had three 24 man drops going at once, with numerous successful sync drops each night. It is a proud feat that few have accomplished in MWO.

Due honor has been given to the Hosts of Asgard in our various arenas, and so now I give honor to those who fought. Here is the Yule Bracket in completion:

Posted Image

The Winners of the Asgard Bracket, and therefore the Yule Tournament itself was the 1st Rasalhague Dragonregimentë: Nifhel Lance.

Second Place goes to Blue Vengeance's 2nd Lance

Third Place goes to The Isengrim: Jarlsguard Lance

A warm and well deserved congratulations to all three of those Lances. They've proven themselves the most elite 4-man units within the entire FRR.

I'd like all units with movies to post them here, perhaps we can put together a youtube queue of all the battles fought.

Here is a list of all the Lances involved and their victories (r#'s are their ranking within the tournament):

Thanks go out to the Isengrim for organizing this behemoth event, it was the most fun I've had playing MWO in a while. Dane, you did a top-notch job, and I hope we can repay it some time.

More thanks go out to Blue Vengeance for letting us invade their server. You guys were tough opponents, and completely surprised us with the little prizes in the end. We really appreciated that, and we hope to see you guys around.

To everyone else, thanks for coming out and making this event as huge as it was, and I hope you had as much fun as we did in the 4v4 setup. If you haven't already jumped onto the FRR TS3 hub, we hope you will; the 1st RDR lives there now, and it'd be great to see you all again. Drop in and maybe we can do more of these kind of events with our fellow Republicans.

We from Blue Vengeance are actually planing a follow up right now.
Since we´re germans we are curently planing stuff and evaluating the expirience from the Yule to fix some of the time consuming roadbumps. There will be probably a bit more freedom in the Mechs you can take and and definitely more matches per team! (at least 5)
But the core expierience with all the mead and fighting and fun will be the same.

Yes.. we've apparently inspired Blue Vengeance. I wish them all the luck in that endeavor. The Isengrim won't be leading any events for a while. That took a lot out of me. =D

Yes but Gold Lance made it further in the tournament, despite your unofficial Drakøn on Drakøn violence you had at the end there.

The winning lance was awarded premium time, compliments of PGI.

so now it seems any unit that starts a tournament, and gets at least 9 other units to join, should get premium time. Hell I want to start one now.

Yes. It was exactly that easy and trite.

Anyways, I was thinking we should probably generate little emblems for everyone who participated in the Yule Tournament. They could place them in their various banners. My thinking is .. a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place emblem - and then a participation one for everyone else.

You definitely did and I hope you will be participating in our tournament. I still want revenge for our loss against you guys. :D
We are thinking about splitting the qualification round on the basis of timezones to make it easier to participate for more people.

And you HAVE do make another Yule next year Dane!

Just come and participate in ours, and then make one after us, maybe we can make some kind of series out of this.
At least I will be happy to help in the organisation of it some of our other guys certainly will be too.
Its just a win win situation for PGI so I think they where happy to contribute to it.

This was alot of fun! There were some top notch teams fighting. Thanks to everyone that contributed. That is pretty cool of PGI to offer the first place winner a prize. No one expected that. I look forward to seeing new and old friends on the battlefield!

Thanks guys. If people didn't show up, demonstrate great patience, and remain enthusiastic - it would have been a disaster.
Really, everyone who participated deserves a hardy pat on the back.

Yes, numerous people recorded!
Although for lots of people it is sort of a busy week so it may take a little longer than normal for them to trickle in.

Just make sure to get the word out. All the FRR must know, the 1st Dragonregimentë has the most elite lance of pilots in our faction.
