Why? Because it'd give people a non-hero option for packing an AC20 and it differs from the YLW by removing the energy hardpoints from the CT and adding missile hardpoints to the LT. Easy.

Oh, and yes, I know I have posted this before but a search did not allow me to find it to bump.

i for one would like to see it posted all over the place, especially in feature suggestions, which is the last place I posted it.

Nonsense, this hasn't had a new thread in forever and is a just and noble cause! One person used to have a "Save the AH" link in their sig, but I don't think they are around anymore - or they changed it.

There was no reason to remove it in the first place, it's a legit variant, it was fully functional, they just wanted to sell Wangs.

Well, that ship has sailed, so let's have it back please?

That was an odd move because Yen Lo is such different mech than the AH. Looking at the current line up of Hero Mechs in comparison to the cbill variants it's a little puzzling.

I fully support the re introduction of the AH. Let's see what we can do.I'd buy it in a second (and I already have a YLW)

I say why not. It seems they have started recently only releasing three of each variant, I hope they go back and release more of the ones which can have more.

At the time of the introduction of the YLW, the only other arm mounted AC/20 was the Centurion AH. In effect this much was admitted it was removed to make room for the Wang (after a series of flimsy excuses). This situation has moved a great deal.

The real block now is one of pride. To return the AH means PGI needs to be willing to admit the error in removing it.

I agree it should come back, but seems Twitter is probably the best way to ask Russ about it and get an answer.

Never liked centurions. I bought the wang back in closed beta, and I'm soo glad that they reset my MC.

I agree with the OP, the CN9-AH would be a great addition. I've already bought the YLW but i might still buy the AH, since i really love this chassis. With a MAX engine of 275 no energy hardpoints in the center and 2/3 missle hardpoints on the left torso, this mech would still be distinguishable enough from the YLW to add something to this game.

Its a logical progression point to the many decisions that have occurred, $$$$ at the expense of all else.

One of my friends was a huge fan of the AH. He was very disappointed when they removed it, and is never going to buy an YLW. He has since stopped playing much at all.

I don't know if reintroducing the AH would bring him or others like him back (he has been very busy with RL stuff for a while now), but it'd be a step in the right direction.

Well, it's a F2P game, you ofcourse need to spend real money to get that AC20 for your Cent.

This explains how F2P generally works:

you got it red rider.

Sad part is, they were different enough that both would have co-existed fine. Between the energy/missile hardpoint difference and the large gap in top speed allowed, they would have played to different styles of players.
