I tried finding this info but so far haven't had any luck. Not even sure if this is the right place to ask, but it seems to be a decent place to ask at least. Here goes:

1). When Mechwarrior Online goes live to Founders' Program members it will be, as I understand it, in the open beta phase. Is this correct?

2). If yes, and we're playing in the open beta phase (traditionally meaning nothing's yet set in concrete and much of the game is still open to serious changes), isn't it unwise to allow us to use our $80 worth of in-game credit and/or our premium account time while still in open beta, since what's to stop us losing out big-time if something's changed drastically?

3). When does our 1-/2-/3-month premium account period start if we buy the Veteran/Elite/Legendary Founders' Program? On the 7th of August no matter what? The first time we log into MWO? Or when we choose to kick-start it? I (and I'm sure I'm not alone) probably can't make good use of the premium account time at the time of release, and would rather hold off on using it for a better time. But if I don't have that option then the Founders' package becomes much less appealing for me.

If anyone can answer these questions with informed answers, I'd appreciate it. I may just have found a timely replacement for World of Tanks (they sure did take the low road :( ), and at this stage I'm at about 80% likely to jump into MWO head first with $120 stuck to my helmet.

1. When you jump in from the founders packs it will be open beta yes.
2. They have already stated that when we get in nothing will reset after that, so it is effectivly a headstart on non founders. Meaning you won't lose anything when it goes live.
3. Your premium starts at game start, not before, it's not used up while you can access the game at this time, but you don't get to chose when to start it either so if you are on holidays when game starts currently tuff luck (although they have said they will look into being able to delay the premium start if you want to, but no promises).

Thanks for the info, Lord Wolff.

I do hope they let us choose to delay starting our period of premium, as it's probably $10 to $20 less value we're really getting out of the Legendary package if we can't make good use of the 3-month premium account at a good time. Still, I'm mainly interested in the 4 Founders' Mechs and the variety and choices that offers me from the get-go.

I didn't do it through PayPal, but I'm in the same boat. $ gone, no email confirmation or profile update.

Open beta means access to everyone.

On 7th of August only those that have bought a Founders Package will get access.

That is not the same as an open beta.

Captain Command signing on, goin' down in the books boys. A legend from inception through conception, comtemplation of abortion to final gestational fruition and interception, personal abnegation then forced adoption. What does it all really mean? I'm not sure, but there is a lot of "tion" words in the second sentence. My friend sucked me into this game. It better not let me down; haven't cared about the franchise since MWM. Cheers to hope!

Check here lethewaters

Check page 8 in case it doesn't go there. I was having the same problem, this is the solution playspan gave me, and it worked. Hope it helps.

For anyone else using APO addresses or living overseas with a different mailing address is another country, this should help you as well.

Will there be a hard wipe at the end of Beta for the founders? Also the 3 months of Premium does it start (if there is a hard wipe) after beta or if no hard wipe at the start of founder access?

I'm sorry but i have to say this, seems like a bad buisness decision excluding new players from the beta just because they don't waunt to pay out for the founders package. I mean how can you ask a person who has never played a mech game to pay out that kind of money? I've heard of the mechwarrior games for almost as long as i can remember but never had the chance to play any, I was hoping that this would be my chance to get into the mech world and experience what i've heard. Unfortunately i can't afford to buy the founders pack nor would i be willing to hand over that kind of money without knowing if it was worth the price. I may be wrong, but i think you're gonna loose a big player base by only allowing founders into the beta. Just my opinion though.

Considering the game itself is free when it comes out, I don't see your point. I will also note at least 1000 people got into beta free already and many more may still get in. So if you don't get a invite and don't pay for founders then just wait tell the game is launched and enjoy it for free then.
