What were you referring to when you said "hit & run"? Assault 'Mechs?

I would like to add that with all this talk of honor, one forgets. There is a greater honor than personal and that is to your Coordinator. There is personal honor gained with every kill I make alone, but there is more honor gained with every victory my unit makes. Every planet I take in the name of the Coordinator brings him, my House, and my unit honor. Every planet I deny my enemy brings the Coordinator, my House, and my unit honor.

Sometimes the duel for honor isn't one Mechwarrior fighting another Mechwarrior. Sometimes the duel for honor is one Coordinator playing Shogi with one First Prince. The board is the Planet and we are the pieces. And to win, one must make use of all the pieces on the board. The Spider is just one of these pieces.

no sir, this is the guy you should be praising, along with his bretheren

it's hard for a 20 tonner to make it in a meta world, where his training as a scout and dodging enemy fire is pulled out of the sky due to the failure of the mechanics themselves, where his ability to outrun missiles is null and void , and all he gets in return is not "kill-pay" but simple pocket change for keeping people busy... and watching as it all goes up in smoke as his planned diversion stops with a simple pop to the leg, and allies being too dumb to come to his aide.

he's labeled as an undesirable, and at times he shines, but he is there, always across the map, always...

...A Locust.

A kuritan mech? Maybe that cheap clone by nimakachi. The Spider is a Newhart Industries design which by 3050 is all FedCom baby.

Matter of fact:

Quote

Two experimental versions of the SDR-5V have been discovered within the Successor States. One version supports only a single Aberdovey medium laser and two Arkum flamers mounted on each of the arms. This version is used primarily in Davion-controlled space. The other version, which is used mainly by House Kurita troops, also mounts one medium laser and two machine gun systems mounted in the arms. It is designed primarily as an anti-infantry attack 'Mech.

5D is OUR baby, you get the crappy 5K ;)

I bet you don't call it crappy anymore after it hits you with an airstrike and a torrent of .50 cal shells in the back, shattering all those precious double heat-sinks and whatnot, gaijin. ;)

Because shooting a mech from behind to strip his armour isnt a cowardly tactic? Come take my Atlas head on if your spider is so virtuous ;)

A samurai does not stay her blade merely because the enemy is too slow to turn.

Gomen nasai, but in war, duty comes before compassion. ;)

To be fair, it is something of a misconception - albeit, a common one - that "virtuous", "courageous", and "honorable" are always necessarily one-and-the-same; it is entirely possible to achieve "virtuous" ends through less-than-"honorable" means or "honorable" ends through less-than-"virtuous" means, and to do both with varying degrees of "courage" (or its absence in favor of "foolishness").

HAHA, I had to look those up. So the question I have to ask is, What is the point in playing a game and joining a faction if you don't role play a little. You sound like the one with the problem to me. Maybe trim your own facial hair and find a different forum if you don't like it, because posting here includes you as a neckbeard.
