Guys: With the hot fix a couple days ago, PGI has the capability to do sales without downtime. More to the point, they have done a couple without any splash announcement on the site. Last night, Golden Boy was on sale, the night before, it was one of the Dragon heroes.

So if there's something you want, it's worth peeking in the store regularly, you might be pleasantly surprised!

EDIT on 2/24: This thread has gained traction and PGI has kept with the sales, so it should be in the first post: this thread will be updated as the sales change, by me (or others, that's the "traction.")

Considering the re-sell value of mechs... You may always want more mech bays. With 2+ Mechs coming out each month, you ether need free bays to try them... or sell older mechs at a loss to free up a bay.

For me.... I like to keep my options open.. so picked up another dozen mech bays at the sale price... with MC purchased on black Friday.. dirt cheap bays for the win!

Mech Bays are a buck and a half at normal prices... a third the price of a latte at Starbucks. Not exactly expensive?

So I can't fathom the excitement of saving 75 cents per bay...?

1) they're the one thing you pretty much have to buy with real money
2) they're rarely on sale

It's more principle than total $, I suppose.

Real mechwarriors don't drink latte's.

They drink real coffee, and straight black at that.

There are a few reasons to consider buying mechbays on sale.

1) You would like more mechbays in general so you eventaully don't have to sell mechs (I had 27 before the sale, all used, and had been selling mechs I wasn't using much, and I regret selling at least 1 of them, I got 7 more mechbays with the sale though, so I don't see that as an issue in the near future).

2) You only have your starting 4 mech bays and want more. the usual $15 to buy 10 mech bays now gets you 10 and a color, or 14 and some change.

3) You like to play Poke'mech. (Got to own them all)

4) It's one of the few items that just about anyone who buys items at all will be able to partake in a sale, since they're one of the few items everyone needs to buy with real money.

For me, I had some MC sitting around for an Ember sale and a color, and then I wasn't sure what else. I instead got 7 bays, and once I get the ember, will see if I can afford a color (Currently, I will the ember goes on 50% off, if not, I can afford the ember with change. Given it's now one of only 3 mechs to not get a 50% sale, I expect it sometime in the next month or two)

Given the ability to donate to other players, I'd offer some mechbays.
I have something like 25 sitting around collecting dust lol
(Not sure if dusty mechbays are funny or sad)
