Legendary founder pack seems disproportional in benefits to cost

Generally as bonus package prices grow, the included rewards grow to match. Which the jump from Veteran to Elite provides, however, the jump to legendary leaves me feeling like I'm paying a premium, rather than recieving a bundle bonus etc. Yes there are non game benifits included, but to me those are fluff for the most part.
So the deal is this
V:$30 for 0 mech 1 month and $40 credit
E:$60 for 1 mech 2 months and $80 credit
L:$120 for 4 mechs 3 months and $80 credit
So if we strip each offering of $30 1 month and $40 worth of credit you get
E:$30 for 1 mech 1 month $40 credit
L:$90 for 4 mech 2 month $40 credit
Since we already have established a $30 = 1 month $40 credit we can then break that down to
E:$0 for 1 mech 0 month $0 credit
L:$60 for 3 mech 1 month $0 credit
breath that down its
L:$20 for 1 mech .33 month $0 credit
No compare this
Ex4:$240 for 4 mech 8 month $320 credit
Lx1:$120 for 4 mech 3 month $80 credit
Resulting in
$120 for 4 mech 3 month $80 credit as found in Legendary
$120 for 0 mech 5 month $240 credit as bonus
I would have dropped the $120 if I felt the in game benefits to cost ratio were more in tune. Should have had the in game currency jump $40 or double to $160.

To quote Russ:
Mechs at $15 each
3 months premium at $10 a month
$80 credits
4 garage slots
Founder tag
Name in credits
Thats $170 just in concrete assets, plus whatever ego value you add to the tag and credits.
Seems fine to me.

To add to the above, the Legendary Pack will allow you to play a Dropship game with 4 mechs from the get-go, each with a per mech C-Bill bonus. Basically you'll be able to rake in the C-Bills quite a bit quicker than the Elite peeps and keep your $80 in game money intact.

I have also been formulating this post all day, just had a breather to spell check it and post it a few minutes ago, I had not seen Russ's chat still iffy on cost, but reading through things and having this additional info that wasn't in the pack descriptions, I'll probably plunk down the $120 when i get home tonight once I have time to look over everything since new information has come out about it.
I too am a Fan Boy of MW, anyone recall the old EGA top down role player. It was all about not seeing the value offered for the big $60 jump. That $60 jump if you use the notes someone else posted in the thread, makes its the item cost to be $55 (+3 mechs $15 ea and 1 month @ $10)

Where did you get that information
Elementary my dear Watson
Nah, Russ eluded to it in the Founders Pack megathread, I'll see if I can dig it up.
It does make sense though, you start with 4 mechs, there's 4 spaces in the dropship. No need to buy more or grind to get them.
EDIT:
Quote
Of course whether the Dropship makes it into the game by release date is up in the air.

Dude, you're getting FOUR mechs for TWO TIMES the cost. Knock up the Battle Value for those other three that you wouldn't have with just an elite package and it overshoots that little in-game credit by a metric f*ckton.

But it also opens up the ugly road ahead where developers can dictate the value of what real money gives, allowing for exploitation and/or lowering of real money value vs digital.
Eventually it'll all become so normal, most people won't realize they are paying a lot more then they should, and/or developers continue to "enlighten" our perceived value for games.
In a few years, a Legendary Founders package (or equal of any game) will not be $120, but $200 for the same "amount" of content b/c the developers want it that way. Consumers will not realize what they lose, and many will be too "carefree" to even be concerned.

@ 120 dollars for a single dinner we can assume 6-8 family members or 3-4 at some elitist restaurant. I unfortunately, will not be able to buy any founder package since I was recently laid off. I'll essentially be missing out on a permanent change to my gameplay in the future when I have the time and money to afford playing again. :/
@Saivanas: this is already happening via WoW and recently with Eve Online. As real money (i.e. your labor value translated into paper/metal coins) starts buying "digital" and "virtual" money, that money starts to gain real world value. Maybe the days where you work at your job and get paid in MWO:2 or Minecraft "game currency" are not far off. It all depends on our addiction to entertainment (http://en.wikipedia....selves_to_Death) and how far we'll let it take us. If anyone here with a psychology background has looked at the rise in incidence of computer addiction, especially in countries which gained the technology overnight from having little to none, it's amazingly similar to crack addiction or other physical drugs, in terms of how much people are willing to sacrifice in order to have it.
Remember that 72 hour marathon starcraft korean who died in an internet cafe? Or the case of one person killing another in real life over a sword from a game? Now imagine that not only are items rare and also will be costing real money in the future. Addicts are the best customers. They're never satisfied and always want more, and will go through any means to get it. As such, if it's legal to sell to these addicts of gaming, they set the benchmark for A: How terrible of a product people are willing to buy B: How much money companies can charge and C: How much DRM and other monkey business is acceptable. Look how many people bought SC2 even though you can't play the single player without logging into bnet services online, meaning you're tethered to the internet to play single player.
And if you complain about the cost/value of a product, fanboys will tell you to get a job, that it's worth it, and so on. Younger generations are less and less understanding the value of their money and their labor value. I used to be one.

Veteran = $30 / Elite = $60
Elite - 1 Founders' Mech
Veteran - None
I kind of understand the increase in having an Premium account from 1 month to 2 months then 3 months, but doubling the price from Veteran to Elite is not the same as doubling the price from Elite to Legendar.
... Despite all this, I think I should look at the MWO Recognition as well (the last benefit for buying Legendary)
I would propose to increase in-game credit to that of at least $120.
