I think enough people already feel like too many experienced players are being pitted against new players... resetting everyone's Elo Ranking would magnify that.

Achievments You Want:

Ash, PokeMech MechWarrior - You own one of every Mech.

Dirty Harry - Have 100% accuracy with the AC/20.

Planetarium Laser Show - Used all Energy Mechs in 100+ matches.

The Walking UndeadMech - Your K/D ratio is less than 25%.

Braveheart - Successfully sacrificed yourself for a team victory in 25+ matches.

OT: Yay! Cheevs! Also, they clearly stated that old stats are archived. Which is good, even though i painstakingly screenshotted them all a couple of weeks ago... looking forward to the next patch!!!!

Achievement Unlocked! Working As Intended. Fire six salvos of SRMs at any enemy mech without making their paper doll's armor panels change through more than one color (i.e. turn yellow to orange, but no further).

I'm old. I don't care about achievements. I only care about blowing up robots. THAT is my satisfaction and achievement.

Great move :( My KDR has been a slow mission to improve from my early days of constant pug death. Be nice to start from a fresh slate and leave those days behind. Looking forward to the achievements too.

Well, I (and it seems others) had the sneaking suspicion that our 'Win 5, get a Mech' event might have been a ninja test of rewarding Mech/Mech Bay for completing an Achievement. Now I don't think this reward will be common, but I am hoping there is at least this level of reward available for some milestones...(5 kills in a match, 100 kills, 100 victories, something along those lines.)

We've been waiting for this for quite some time.

Hopefully the achievements will be as service ribbons or medals as previously requested many months ago. :(

Why all the assumption that there will be rewards? I highly doubt there will be. Most games I've played don't give rewards.

I know this would be one achievement I'll be happy to unlock if it were put in-game. :(

My hypothesis on the rewards is a majority of them will likely be c-bill/xp rewards that are added to the end-game total much like current in-game assists. If not in-game then most certainly after the match. A few rarely achieved achievements might have MC rewards, and the rarest of the rare might reward a mech with its own mechbay.

Even if it's just for bragging rights (meaning no rewards just stats), it's still a welcome change from the grind thus far.

I've seen achievements in other games and they always seemed kinda silly. As if playing and doing well in the game (winning or otherwise) wasn't an achievement in itself! The achievement should be helping your team - getting a high match score - savior kills (that shows you're really helping a teammate) - or even doing more damage than your average. If you just got your 50th Component Destruction but you died early and had a 25 for a match score should you be happy? Nope. Sounds like you let your team down to me.

And how about fixing the UI 2.0 instead of giving us something we don't need?

Here are some achievements I'd like to see for faction fighting and for cadet incentives:

Training Achievements

Graduation
Requirement: Play 25 matches with cadet bonus
Reward:1 free Mechbay

Fully-Certified Mechwarrior
Requirement: Complete Tutorial Mode
Reward:1 free mech of your choosing

Mech Raid Achievements

Fed-Com Killer
Requirements: Defeat 50 Steiner or Davion Players
Rewards: Commando COM-2D, Centurion CN9-D, Jagermech JM6-DD, Atlas AS7-D 4 Mechbays.

Bird Hunter
Requirements- Defeat 50 Marik Players
Rewards: Cicada CDA-3M, Quickdraw QKD-5M , Orion ON1-M, and Awesome AWS-9M 4 Mechbays.

Dragon Slayer
Requirements-Defeat 50 Kurita Players
Rewards: Jenner JR7-K, Kintaro KTO-19, Dragon DRG-5N, Atlas-AS7-RS with 4 Mechbays.

Another thing, there should be a notification to tell you the achievements that you've unlocked and the rewards you've got.

Glad to see this feature implemented. Achievement systems have always amused me because they're incredibly transparent ways to encourage repetitive behavior, but despite this knowledge they still work on me. Looking forward to seeing what kind of rewards and tasks I can work towards. :-)
