I am starting this to begin discussing what mechs and tactics you used and how well you placed in your faction.

Myself, I placed 53rd in the Merc Corps. Not as high as I wanted, but I could not play much on Sunday and dropped quite a few spots. I peaked on Saturday afternoon in 18th, and went down from there as I didn't have time to keep playing as much Saturday as I had hoped.

I used my Cicadas for almost the entire event.

Share how you did, and the mechs you ran. I am curious to see if bigger a mech meant bigger score.

I didn't play this weekend but dude... less than 300 points from 10th to 53rd place... that is actually pretty tight. :)

Hey there,

I was for a brief shining moment 17th on the list. :) It didn't last. I am however quite glad that my score is part of the top 50 scores that contributed to Steiner winning the challenge. Yeah!

Mostly I ran with my Orion 1V Missile machine, which in my defence, I was using a lot before the patch... ;)

I wonder how the scores would look with the top 100 instead of 50? It seems there was not so much a huge point spread so far. There has to be a break point though, I would think.

First two days I almost exclusively used my Firebrand and Banshee (two builds below), but got tired of LRM spam so Sunday I exclusively ran with a Raven Super Chicken (variation). Had a couple good games in the Jager and Banshee (~4 kills ~6 assists and ~1200 damage). But my best 2 games were in my Raven, both of which were very similar (6 Kills 6 Assists and 1100-1200 damage). Both games I was the last mech left, running for my life, while dividing up the remaining enemy mechs to core them out. 1 was on Canyon Network, the other was on Tera Therma, both were extremely well played games by myself, but also my team.

I played about 15-20 matches on Friday, and another 5-10 on Sunday in my Heavy Metal:

I may have dropped a total of like 5 or 10 times in my LRM battlemaster while waiting for other people (I played it a lot, but grouped up), so for completeness` sake:

Awesome! On the one hand, I'm impressed that you didn't use a Victor/Highlander poptart to earn a top spot! On the other hand, I'm bitterly annoyed that you bested me! I ranked 5th in Davion using almost exclusively a Misery (I might have had 2-3 scoring matches with a Jester).

Misery - 1xAC20 1xPPC 2xLL, STD300 AMS
Jester - 2xPPC 4xML XL325 2xAMS 2xJJ's

RVN-3L all-around
RVN-3L (long range)

Mostly played on the first one but I admit that with current meta long range fits better pug games and is easier to use as any other boat setups.
