Well, now I know a bit more about the lore.

Just as a note of clarification. When Clan Wolf Khan Kerlin Ward issued the Wolf's Dragoons secret orders in 3019 Ulric Kerensky did not have a bloodname, he did not get one until 3041. But he had been kind of like Kerlin Wards protege. But I've used his bloodname so to make it more obvious who I am talking about.

Now, is this all in the fluff novels or the core gamebooks?

Makes sense. I'm reading through the fluff right now. On book 5, Warrior: En Guard.

I'm actually not at all impressed with Stackpole's books.

I think most writers live a little bit inside the books they write. I'd almost like to see what some of these authors writing battletech actually had in mind, because today's mechs you see don't have any of those hand-held medium or large lasers, and there hasn't actually been any description of torso rotation in any of the books I've read.

You have no idea, I think I have a definite bleedoff problem. (That is where the personality inside of the story, begins to manifest itself inside of the author.)

ON FURTHER NOTE: This can work both ways.

Bleeding authors, what good are they anyway.

Good for writing a damn good story, and for company, as I have been told it's interesting when we come around to chat.

Nah I have alot of respect for authors. My favorite right now would be Eric Flint for his Ring of Fire series.

Hello all. I've been playing beta for a few weeks now and would really like to start playing with a group. And since I've liked the WDs for a long time now, I figured I would rather post here than in the hiring hall thread. Is anyone here actively grouping in the beta? I'm going to be going to afghanistan in about a month, so I can't commit to anything long term. I'm just looking for some WDs to play with until I gotta leave.

I really need to start stopping by wolfnet every so often and catch up on the events going on. Just so busy with making sure BWC has it's needs fulfilled.

HAHAHA The Art of War(fare)... when I first started gaming online, I was part of a group called TAW, The Art of Warfare. It was my first team, they had about ten members when I joined.

I have actually read that, and, was actually impressed as to how much that applies to modern warfare today.

I just hope we get a random map generator. A lot of the fluff battle scenes need wildly varied landscapes. Bigger maps too.

Guess we'll have to see what comes down the pipeline after Open Beta.

The best book series imo was the Twilight of the Clans. Check it out when you get a chance.

This is not a single merc unit. It is an alliance of merc units. You will need to either create a merc unit and apply, or join a unit that is already part of the Dragoons alliance.
