What Banner Will The Other Clans Fight Under?

My one big concern is when CW comes about, PGI hasn't really been good on delivering the details and rather then having an immense open world environment where we can fight any other banner...it seems to be that unless i miss a dev podcast, that all clanners will be fighting under one of the four invading clans. So how are the smaller clans such as Steel Viper, Nova Cat, Diamond Shark, Cloud Serprent, Hells Horse. Snow Raven, ETC handle CW when they don't have their faction to choose from? I am guessing that we want those loyality and faction points that come from doing missions but if we don't get to choose our faction does that mean that Steel Viper will have to label themselves Jade Falcon and Nova Cat as Smoke Jag...which would really suck given that the Cats and Jags hate each other.

i think outside of having your own 12 dropping inner sphere and clan will drop all mixed up.

All 34 Khans are present in the Clan Invasion zone "observing" proceedings up until Leo's death.
Many Khans and their body guards partake in drops with other Clans.
Diamond Shark history (Invading Clans source book) tells us they joined the Jade Falcons on Last Chance during the periphary and "...both Diamond Shark Khans participated in battles for seven worlds." pg 140 during the 4th wave.
There is no real reason this could not be assumed to hold true for any friendly relation Clans. So Coyotes or Scorpians might drop with their Wolf Buddies. Snow Ravens with the Flacons or the Bears. Blood Spirits maybe with the Jags (cause they don't like anyone except the Il Khan maybe?)
In short, any pseudo sci fi bs will work. All Clans are there and we can assume that the players are the attached 'escort' for the Khan and Sa Khan.
As long as they don't claim the planet, they can drop with the implied consent of the big 4 Clan of their choice, from a canon basis anyway.

Yes Rip I understand not initially. I was correcting the mention of SIX invader clans to reflect the correct number of SEVEN.

That is is they split the clans into separate factions/teams for the purpose of community warfare, I suppose they could throw them all together...
They could split them all out, but I just don't see that happening, there would be FAR more choices of which Clan faction you could represent than IS factions in that case and I feel that could be unbalancing.

The problem is that except for dark caste bandits there are no lone warriors in the Clans. And i do not see bandits riding toward the Inner Sphere..

The Dark Born is a community group set up to recognise individuals outside of Clan soceity as lone wolves or mercenaries and are made up of miscreants of the various clans in various guises as part of the Clan Dark Caste.
The idea of the Dark Born having a more Mercantile presence for Community Warfare a possibility in the future as these things develop.
Note as a member of the Dark Caste you will be treated with disdain or as Dezgra by the Clans themselves.
If this way of Clan life appeals to you or just interested then here is a link to the Dark Born Site.

PGI hasn't exactly stuck to cannon, as we don't have a banner for the Federated Commonwealth......

Thats the Star League icon. A better symbol for the Clans is the Clan Dagger Star:
However for factional interests like the IS Houses each Clan would ideally be recognised as their own faction for any potential loyality interests in CW.
