First of... Highly disappointed that the major changes like the server side hit effects did not make into the Apr 1st patch as promise.
However... I got to see it at work on the Public Test Server..

They mentioned only missiles.. But it was certainly enable for ballistics from what I could see.

Some videos on the various builds I ran during public test.

The Hero Raven fully upgraded to my specs..
4xMG +2 Tons ammo, 2xStreak2 +2Tons ammo, 1JJ, XL300.
The ballistics Jenner D... Border line troll mech but should be a viable light hunter due to Streaks.



Wolverine 6K Laser Boat..
I get the feeling there is no server side hit effects for Lasers...
Bad damage against orbiting fast mechs using lasers as per normal.



The good Old SRM Stalker.
Had to try this one again...
Hmmmmm.... I feel like I am doing more damage now.. I am seem to be doing decent damage against and orbiting fast medium and killed him.



The CTF-4X 4xAC5 noobie killer
Even though they didn't mention ballistics... This was were I found server side hit effects to be most obvious. The rounds no longer explode immediately on impact on the client side.
There is a short delay for the server to confirm here hit before the hit effect happens.



Same CTF-4X build on this time on the live server with the Apr 1st patch.
For people to compare the difference with and wihout server side hit effects.
