Wondering if anyone else has seen this or knows the cause or a workaround.

had a game just now where thermal and night vision views seemed to be broken for me. Thermal showed gray mechs but all terrain was solid black. Night vision was just solid black.

When toggled off back to normal view, the gamma is really dark for second or two as well.

Re dropped without any restart into the testing grounds and it worked normally. Very strange, never seen this happen, and it's not replicated. hmmm

Ditto. Maybe some textures that didn't load properly for that single game?

I had it last night on river city night ( ) but when i tried after in testing grounds, it was gone.

Yep, I had this issue show up last night on river city, night vision was completely black, thermal was grey scale. After I was killed (because I couldnt see) I was spectating other players and it looked the exact same on thier screens (to me). However, I asked in public chat and the guys I were spec'ing said everything was normal from thier view.

Same just happened to me on frozen city but did a restart of the game and its gone now.

Just had it in the Nova. River city

had this today on river city night, when I clicked night vision there was a brief (50-100ms) flash of green and the screen went black. thermal vision was simply black.

was in an A1

Happen to me also on very random occasions (I personally think it was because I was already tapping either H or N before map fully loaded/started).

River city night would go black near dark on Nightvision option and also on Frozen city where heat vision went black.

So now I just wait wait wait and then hit those buttons, and so far so good lol.

- On topic of pressing buttons before the game starts, I do notice if I was already pressing down on W to get a quick start my gameplay lagged for a good 20 seconds before my screen got back control and found myself running into the wall already.

oh and skip all the ads on installation.

Seen it happen more that a few times and blackouts in the cave in forest colony. Looks to be related to the window glass layering.
