G'day one and all...what IS House are you mob thinking of supporting?
I'm currently the acting Precentor Martial for the ComGuards faction playing at NetBattleTech.com.So already having a ComStar association as well as the BattleTech timeline placing the Comstar headquarters (City, World) at Sydney, Australia, Terra. The fact that in the 31st century ComStar saw itself as the guardians of Star League-era technology, and to a slightly lesser extent, the Inner Sphere itself. So I'm leaning towards a ComStar faction myself, the Free Rasalhague Republic is highly appealing.Mainly because of the amount of action that FRR gets from the Clan invasion of the IS.The names of some of the Mercenaries employed by FRR are Cameron's Legion,1st Dismal Disinherited,Dragon's Breath,Insect Brigade,Legion of the Rising Sun,Terrible Treads and Vinson's Vigilantes. So using these as inspiration, and accounting for the fact that NZ gets the days first light, maybe adopt a name like the Morning Glories :D

Hi guys

Aussie from Canberra here, fairly prolific poster and have been playing BT since Jesus was an apprentice.

I will be looking to build an Australian/NZ unit, especially if the Clans become a player faction.

If anyone wants to chat more about it, hit me up!

I'm Tasmanian, but I'm in with the Skye Ranger's 10th Regiment (Arturus Steiner's clan). :)

I would love to join an Aussie/Kiwi merc group

maybe name it ANZAC Light Horse

Also could be a merc group contracted to Comstar so we could be under the Comguards but our brigade/etc would be Aussie/kiwi only??

IMHO if mob you are really serious about creating a staunch merc unit for MWO.You'll want to steer clear of using a unit name thats comprised from iconic trademark names, and make a name for yourselfs.Something with a ring to it,that takes a bit from each culture, like the "Dingo Warriors". B)

Hey Nav - love that shield design with the southern cross on the website - that would be a great logo for an ANZAC merc group
an alternative would be to have a boxing Roo holding the shield between gloves

I am guessing that my old MW "league clan", the ANZ-based House Jurai (all previous PC versions) may revive whenever the MWO gets going. There are a few of us still around, waiting for a MW online gaming resurgence.

Based on what I've seen, Jurai could go Merc Corp to keep the unity and identity we had for years.

Stay tuned.

I used to have a wingmate from down there, all the way back to our M3L days. He was last with ELH, his callsign was LorddKelvin, and Y'all got me to missin' him. I recall that he was a bartender in Sydney, but it's been at least 6-7 years since we last dropped, so please don't hold me to that. He was/is a decent fellow and a righteous wing in a tussle.

Death Inc Australia intends on Fielding an initial Company sized unit from its existing members interested in playing MWO. At this point we have not formulated a definite plan for playing as a unit whether as a faction or as a merc unit . We currently have a fully supported Website with Forums and TS3 server.
for those interested or just curious we can be found at http://www.deathinc.com.au/
