Nope, the activity is low for other reasons (CW, ghost heat, VOIP, take yer pick)

Those are just other Reasons.

If People can buy CBills for MC they don't have to play for their CBills. This WILL reduce the Activity. Simple Logic.

It will also help retain some of the players that find the grind for c-bills to outfit a new mech tedious and / or have time constraints.

Which side of that coin lands up is something only PGI can say for sure.

Why am I not happy about this?!? This takes away the grind for C-Bills! How is this fair for the Free2Play players in MWO when a paying player can just drop MCs for C-Bills? Overall, I'm happy about the changes and additions of Mech variants, but this... this is wrong from my perspective... but so was 3PV.

What does it matter to you if people who don't have hours and hours every week to play, want to pay some extra cash to speed up the process?

As far as the free to play people are concerned... if you don't want to pay, you take what you get.

Well I believe they will make more Cash that Way - which will help their financial Situation. On the other Side I am pretty sure in the long Run it will reduce the Activity of Players. This whole Plan might only work if they can attract a lot of new Players to the Game at the same Time...

I won't fault PGI for creating a new revenue stream just like other games that allow players to pay dollars for in game cash. It does have the strong potential to reduce the amount of time they're playing and that will reduce community increase wait times for matches and slow growth... but the cash will keep PGI going which keeps the game going.

Also, if the people who are getting these really have only limited time to play, and it allows them to play the mechs they want quicker.... so be it. It keeps them playing the game and not grinding, getting bored and quitting. So we may have a quality for quantity exchange going on.

You've always essentially been able to buy Cbills with MC, via buying mechs with MC and selling them for Cbills, what's the issue? this just makes it a more straight forward process.

Apparently missles will no longer explode upon reaching maximum range? Sounds fun.

Honestly they should fall out of the sky in a ballistic arc like badmitton birdies and explode on impact with the ground dealing damage there.

C-Bill for MC... OK... But, I really hope, next time will come the "Buy MC for C-Bill Package" too.

If they made the price point right, I'd grind for that... but it does ruin their business model.

Most people aren't going to pay money for CBills, probably a small percentage of players who otherwise would have put a lot of extra time in. So yes, logically there could be something like a 0.1% dropoff in player activity. My previous point is there are other factors that are probably making up a much larger percentage of reduced activity. Simple big picture logic.

wonder if this will change the usefulness of my ember that is built around an AC/5.

the c-bill thing I don't see being an issue, you people are making it sound like people will spend real money to get in game stuff and then just sit in the menu and enjoy it.

They will still play the game, they will play with the new stuff they just bought....

why would you pay real money and then not play?

I'm very frustrated about the changes to the AC's, especially the speed nerfs. Please consider reverting these changes and stop trying to overbalance weapons that are already fine. It seems like whichever weapon happens to be even moderately effective ends up getting nerfed. It's really sucking the fun out of this game.
