I see it!, They need to do more Challenges in general, would help keep more people excited about the game.

It looks to be the Thunderbolt-9S if you look @ the broken image link.

It's not a Phoenix Variant (bonus to both C-bills and "Loyalty/Faction points"), but a Thunderbolt variant intended to be released, as per Russ's hint.

Edit: It's a free mechbay+mech deal.

It looks to be the "weekend challenge".

AhHA! That's probably the "special" Thunderbolt variant Russ mentioned.

Yeah, that's odd...and confusing since the 9S is already released...so could explain why image is a broken link...might be a placeholder.

Since it's obviously not a hero mech, I'm hoping it's the 7SE (carries an ECM suite).

Dammit, I have to work 3x 12-hour nights all weekend, making it unlikely i'll be able to complete a challenge this weekend :/

No, it's the 9SE that is available right now (the only semi-OK mech that doesn't really compete with the 3D, despite some similarity in grind tree for the JJs). The 9S is "not available" AFAIK, but is perfectly lodged in files viewable @ Smurfy's Website.

It's like the 5S, except you get more energy to go with the arm dakka.

6E (3 LT, 2 RT, 1 RA) , 2B (2 LA), 1M (1 RT)

Torso twist is -10% compared to the rest of the Thunderbolts.

Or you know, be out of town because it's Easter weekend. Oh well, maybe I'll come back early on Sunday and try to get it.

Unnecessary quirk nerf is unnecessary, especially considering that the Thunderbolt never had a good twist to begin with.

Hmmm, for some reason I thought the 9S was released with this last patch as part of the new Phoenix variants. Double checking patch note...looks like it's not yet. So...guess mystery's solved.

The 9S is a 5SS+5S hybrid. That, and I think it's the dual AMS variant.

If you read one of the reddits, the 9S was in the data files, but wasn't "officially released" (note Paul's reference to 6 mechs, and the patch notes).

TBH, the Tbolt needs a better pitch because of it's odd head placement (think Thor/Summoner) because the Cataphract doesn't actually have to deal with that. Torso Twist wasn't a "problem" IMO.

Yep; just assumed all of them were going in this patch.

Oh well, guess an ECM heavy would be too much to ask for.

Well, it has to do with the state of ECM... ;)

I'd probably give it to the Dragon first though... but it is in a bad state and naturally fragile...

At the moment, I think PGI is afraid to release another ECM mech, though I think an ECM Heavy would be a good thing, particularly a T-Bolt, which is a middle of the road heavy.
