Hello there,

I have some questions regarding LRM launchers and how they work.

So the basic idea is that bigger launchers fire more LRMs at once, smaller launchers have a shorter cooldown but produce more heat per second, as far as I get it.

The variable I have heard of, but dont know many details about, is missle spread. From what I heard, smaller launchers shoot missles in tighter groups which concentrates their damage on a smaller area of the enemy mech, making component destruction and mech kills more likely.

So how does spread work, exactly? Are two LRM10s better than a LRM20? Or an LRM15 and an LRM5?

And when does spread come into play? Everytime? Only when Artemis is installed? Only when you have line of sight?

Plus, based on your knowledge, what do you think is the best way to set up LRM launchers to maximize their effectiveness? Few big ones, many small ones, a mix, or something different?

Thank you in advance for your answers.
