Just curious what people think are the rarest breed of 'mech. I frankly haven't seen a Quickdraw in ages. The Wolverine is also pretty sparse.

Today I saw two in the same match. Kudos to them.

I see a number of Quickdraws for whatever reason. The rarest ones for me would probably be Wolverine, Orion, and Awesome. I'll occasionally see a Heavy Metal or Protector, but otherwise I never see those three.

The only mech I do not recall seeing tonight was the Awesome.

Before the latest free mech nonsense I've hardly ever seen a thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt, Trebuchet, Awesome and Quickdraw tend to be rather rare mechs

treb is the rarest sight for me too, i only see one, when i use one.
Awesomes, well, every now and then i run into those, Thunderbolts, even with the giveaway, are somewhat rare, but maybe that changes today as more people unlock it.
And about Quickwhat?
Never heard of that guy....

Jokes aside, i think i saw one yesterday, but its really a rare sight

Commandos are pretty rare too, at least in m experience.

Yesterday I saw one Quickdraw.
Ironically, it was a disconnect.

In my experience only the Trebuchet is rarer.

There are Quickdraws in this game?

Huh. I never noticed. They must not be meta enough.

Trebs are the only mech I never see unless I bring mine.

Quickdraws and Orions are rare, but I still see them in one out of every 5-6 matches.

I see the Awesome surprisingly frequently. The Awesome is secretly a really good mech who's only serious drawbacks are its geometry and hitboxes, and I see them often enough and doing well enough to be confident in my assertion.

lol, that's been the secret all along eh?

The awesome is good as long as nobody is shooting at it.....=)

Technically isn't every mech "Secretly Good" then?

Maybe I'll field one more often when I get more free mechbays.

The thing is Quickdraws are not popular because of the energy heavy dependency (well, the 5K anyhow) but practically any Jester is simply a C-bill gaining Quickdraw-5K.

IMO, if you like a Jester (or a Catapult), technically the Quickdraw-5K would do a better job (assuming you don't have a use for the dual AMS). The scale or "unnecessary tallness" is an issue, but then again Catapults are squishy too, and the higher torso connections in the Quickdraw-5K are better protected (side torso vs Catapult ears).

Oh well.

Although I do see them from time to time, Quickdraws aren't too common in my experience. There are some great mechs to choose from plus or minus 10 tons from them.

I very often use a Quickdraw in Skirmish matches and quite like it. They all fun to play, no matter how unsuccessful I am. 133/228 win/loss but I don`t care. I`m just having fun, long my it continue.

I've seen a few Quickies and Awesomes around. Also the Orions and Wolverines seem to be making somewhat of a resurgence, I see them every 5 matches or so. Even before the event I saw a few Thunderbolts. Trebs are rarer than hen's teeth, though. Might be the tallness and unfortunate geometry with the torsos.

I once bought a Quickdraw.. ran it for a couple of matches, and then sold it to the scrap heap.

They used to be meta, when the meta was just PPCs, they had a place, for a short time as an amazing x3 PPC jumper sniper. I really enjoyed my x4 LL 5K as well.

Ghost heat was the death of both of those builds however.

I just saw a Quickdraw last night.

I ate his face.

I run Wolverines pretty frequently though. I like the 7k a lot - and I bet they become more common if the patch on the 29th fixes SRMs as well as PGI has implied.
